4 night stay was fantastic. Perfect for a group whose ages ranged from 12 to 84!Tranquility of the farm was perfect. Day trips to Southwold, Norwich, Beccles and Aldeburgh all under an hour away.Fire pit at the property was a lovely touch. Along with fire starting help and free fire wood!It is a great place to spend a restful few days. You do need a car as the only drawback is that isn't a walkable pub! But there is beer at the honesty shop.

An excellent stay

We stayed at Lord Darby cottage at Barn Owl Glade over the Easter weekend 2025 ... and it was fantastic! So much to do for the kids - hot tub, heated swimming pool, games room including a pool table and Nintendo, swings, table tennis, feeding sheep. The cottage was well equipped featuring two single beds in one bedroom and one double in the other. Each bedroom had an en-suite and individual temperature controlled radiators. The lounge area was fine for 4 with a good sized TV, table and chairs and a decent kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, cooker and hob. There's enough cutlery, plates, bowls for 4 etc but bare in mind there are no kids plastic plates/cups etc.The hot tub is superb, as is the heated swimming pool -just a short walk from the cottage. The grounds are well maintained and although we didn't stay in the glamping pods, they looked fun. The honesty shop is a nice touch - especially as the nearest supermarket is around 5 miles away in Halesworth. It doesn't stock fresh milk or bread though, so ensure you have that.Overall, a great stay - ideal for families or as a couple - we highly recommend it.There are a couple of minor issues whi
