The accommodation was lovely and the living area was very spacious . A good feature was that the bedrooms were at either end each with en suite facilities . A nice touch was flowers, wine and a variety of eats . The area was an ideal location to explore the Dales.
Second time at Cordwell love the farm feel, love the access to nature and found the village community friendly and welcoming.
Planning on returning next year if not before!
No cons, excellent standard of accommodation
Beautifully restored farm building on a working farm. William and Janet are lovely. Excellent communication with Rachel. Lots of space for a family of four. Comfortable and clean. Everything provided. Highly recommended.
Such a lovely area. Our cottage was delightful, well equipped and spacious and perfect for the 4 of us. Despite it being mid winter there was plenty to do in the local area and we got plenty of walking in. Some lovely local farm shops and pubs, with good old fashioned friendly customers service. We look forward to our next visit to the Peak District. Thank you Rachel.
Our recent stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. The property had everything you needed and was very clean. Will consider a return visit abd recommend to friends.
We had a very enjoyable eight days on the edge of the Peak District, visiting family and exploring the local area. The cottage was well equipped for our needs and had plenty of space to entertain visitors and lots of comfort for tired bodies after a long walk! The food and ale at the local pub in Millthorpe was great and it was only a five minute walk to get there. William was very helpful with advice on places to walk and eat. We intend to visit again to extend our initial exploration as there is so much more to see.
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage very much. It’s located in a beautiful part of the Peak District close to our favorite places to visit. Communication with the owners was excellent and I hope we can return someday.
We have family nearby in Dronfield Woodhouse, and needed a home base while we visited. We also wanted something that was in the country. This ticked all the boxes! The village pub was excellent (particularly if you like cheese!), and everyone was very friendly. We’ll be coming back!
We just had a lovely week in Bluebell cottage. The location is perfect for walking straight from the door in any direction. The countryside is beautiful as are the views from the upstairs lounge. The bed was comfortable, the bathrooms were modern with a good powerful shower and the kitchen had everything you need. The nice surprise was the excellent patio area and garden. We were lucky to have wonderful weather and spent lot's of time sitting outside. We would recommend this property.
Throughly enjoyed our second stay and it was a great place for walks and bike rides on your doorstep. Pub down the road served excellent food. Accommodation was cosy and had everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. We would happily return and thank you for the treats that were left. 👍
Bluebell cottage is a good location for exploring The Peak District and is great for a get together with family or friends. Excellent standard of accomodation with helpful hosts who are happy to introduce you to the livestock on their farm. Would love to stay here again.
Beautiful property equipped with everthing you could need. Very well appointed and so much space. The property is in n ideal location to visit the Peak Distict and for us ideal to spend some time with our son who is at Sheffield Hallam University. I would highly recommend this property.
Thoroughly enjoyed our family holiday. Cottage homely and a perfect base for exploring the Peak District. Enjoyed our farm tour. Will definitely return x
What a lovely holiday! Located in a beautiful place! We had little treats waiting for us upon arrival and the property itself was gorgeous! 🥰 Thank you xxx
We loved our time away at the farm. Hosts were very helpful and welcoming and our baby loved the animals. Couple of things to improve - WiFi doesn’t reach the whole house so you can’t access internet in the lounge. They had forgotten to put logs, kindling and firelighters for the log burner so we couldn’t use that which was a shame.
Apart from that great stay, brilliant renovation of the old barn and great stay.
Beautiful barn coversion. Well thought out internal layout very homely. Everything you need is there. Beds very comfortable with lovely bedding. Ideally situated to Chatsworth, Curbar, Froggats edge. Janet and William are lovely hosts. Will be back
Clean cottage on friendly farm, great location for exploring the Peak District, our second stay here and loved every minute. Layout of the cottage is perfect with 2 double bedrooms, each with ensuite at either side of the kitchen diner.
A wonderful weeks stay at Cordwell Farm, the farmer was a great host showing the children the farm, tractors and animals. Perfect location for exploring the Peak District, a lovely cottage, clean, spacious and with all amenities. Even a lovely welcome bottle of wine! Will be back very soon!
Fantastic property in a working farm with very friendly owners. Well placed for our teenagers to get to Alton towers and for us to get to Chatsworth and further to York.
Pub within 5 min walk with great food and friendly staff. Really happy with our stay.
