FYI, some years ago, the Resort eliminated access to the Devils Knob area amenities and the aquatics center for guests staying at non-Resort-managed properties.

We stayed in a comfortable condo near the top of the mountain ridge with outstanding views! The location was close to the trails we planned to hike on…including a path that connected to the Appalachian Trail. We enjoyed the Chestnut Springs pool and the restaurants behind the lodge. The manager was helpful and friendly with giving us necessary information. A fantastic weekend vacation!

Perfect!!

Incredible condo at the top of the mountain. Super views from the all the windows and the balcony. Super clean property with all the amenities. Host is extremely friendly and very responsive. We will definitely stay here again! I highly recommend this condo for visits to Wintergreen.

A wonderful New Years Trip with the family!

The condo was perfect with a great view of the mountains, Wintergreen ski slopes and the fireworks on New Years Eve. Very well equipped kitchen perfect for cooking all weekend and the shuttle to the ski slopes was conveniently available with service every 15 minutes. We loved coming back and starting a fire each night after skiing. Great place and lots of room to spread out!

Million Dollar views

Of the 5 or 6 places we've rented at Wintergreen over the last few years, this was definitely our favorite. We loved the wrap-around porch and sweeping views. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, water pressure was good, and the condo is beautifully decorated. The owners had left a useful collection of maps and brochures. We'll be back again if we can snag a reservation in time.

Great place for relaxing and enjoying the mountains.

The unit is comfortable and well-maintained, with lots of nice extras like a jetted tub in the master bath. Great views from both inside and the deck. One morning we were able to watch the sun rise over one mountain while the moon set over a different mountain. The area is quiet but relatively close to the central part of the resort at Wintergreen. A five minute drive or a 20-minute hike down the mountain (and at least 60 minutes to hike back up!) This is a great place to just relax and enjoy the scenery or for a really comfortable home base for day trips to stuff in the local area. Highly recommend.

Amazing location.

Amazing host,communication was easy , she allways reply super fast. The cleanliness is not the host problem, they paid to get the sevice, done. The person doibg the job could do a better. Bed sheets were clean, however they should undust once in a while. Other than that everything was nice.

The views is awesome! The unit was exceptionally clean and convenient to everything on the mountain. The unit has everything you need for a wonderful stay. The only negatives was the hot water heater tripped a breaker while we were there. It took us a while to figure out what was going on and the unit didn't have cable. We just used our own streaming services. Overall my wife and I had a great getaway weekend and this unit made it specieal.

We had a great Christmas at Chesnut Springs. The ski resort amd amenities (spa and pool) were extremely convenient. The view was great. We enjoyed the beautiful sunrises each morning. The condo had everything we needed to relax with the added bonus of a fully stocked kitchen so we could cook all our meals. The only suggestion I would make to future guests is to bring your own firewood. We were looking forward to fires each night but all the wood outside was coated in mud and wouldn’t burn. Otherwise, a great trip!

Beautiful View!

This was a beautiful spot for us to get away and enjoy creation. The host was very responsive when we had trouble with the code and the wifi. The condo was clean and very comfortable and even with the rain we were able to enjoy the outdoors with the panoramic windows in the living room with comfy furniture as well as the dining room and kitchen. The master bedroom has an amazing view as well, but unfortunately one of the large blinds was broken and we couldnt raise it. The bed was very comfortable and there were lots of drawers and closet space. There are tons of hikes at the resort and the Parkway is easily accessible by foot. I even saw a bear!

We hope you will enjoy our home away from home as much as we do. We are a Coast Guard family that retired in Arlington, VA after a thirty-five-year career. We own a consulting company, principally serving clients in maritime telecommunications and electronic systems. Lucky for us our two daughters and most of our grandchildren are near.

In seeking a second home for work and play, we wanted a peaceful place in rural VA with great scenery and much to do for us and our families. With Wintergreen, we found it all. The Wintergreen web site and other parts of this will show lots of year-round activities, and it’s especially kid friendly. Our grandkids visit “Grammy’s Mountain” frequently and love every minute with activities on and off the mountain; the go-cart track in Waynesboro is a special favorite of kids for all ages.

Our guests consistently mention the wonderful views of the valley, and we agree! Our building is very quiet. Once you close the door, you can leave the world behind!
