Perfect

Great location well appointed comfortable, and spacious. However, if you are into watching tv or superfast internet not so great. We had so much fun, hiking going to the pool and a pontoon rental, did’t miss a thing!

Graduation weekend

Nice house. Parking was limited but the house in the cul-de-sac was empty for the weekend so we were able to park there. Also left a car outside the area. We enjoyed a nice dinner at the clubhouse and that was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice home

We had a great time during our Thanksgiving week stay with family and friends. We were 3 adults and 4 kids and the home was very spacious and comfortable. The home was clean and had everything we needed. Thank you for allowing us to use your home. It was very nice and we really enjoyed the back around the fireplace. We could also hear the waterfall from the back. Thank you!

Wonderful, well-appointed home in Bear Lake Reserve

We loved our stay at Hawk's Nest in Bear Lake Reserve. The cabin was easy to find and had a well-stoked kitchen. We enjoyed hiking, frisbee golf, tennis/pickle ball and fires on the back deck. Make sure to stop at the grocery ahead of time, as it is a decent hike to get to the nearest town. Also, wifi can be pretty spotty in the mountains, as it went out multiple times while we were there. Management Response: Thank you for your feedback!

Great place to stay, especially if you are attending a wedding at the Castle down the street. I would suggest printing out your checkin instructions prior to arrival because you likely won't have cellular connection at the cabin.

Wonderful!

The perfect location for my niece's wedding at Running Cedar Springs. Beautiful and peaceful, rushing river and mountain views through the trees on the back deck - that is where I spent all of my down time. The kitchen was a great size, and the refrigerator and freezer were large enough to store a 3 tier wedding cake, 8 dz cupcakes, a grooms cake, macarons, and 10 pounds of frosting, with a little room left over for snacks and drinks. I comfortably decorated everything in that kitchen, and there were plenty of kitchen tools to fill in for anything I'd forgotten. I realized I'd left the groom's cake box for transport at home and was overjoyed to find a cake carrier in the pantry!A couple things that could use some attention, or repair: We could not figure out how to turn on the television in the living room, but all of the bedroom TVs worked fine. The back door is tricky to close and lock at the handle, and the dead bolt is unusable and covered with duct tape - this would be concerning if I had little ones staying with me. The bed linens in the master are pretty worn and could use a refreshing. The neighbors in the cul-de-sac are remodeling, and while this usually wasn't an issue, I was woken up Sunday morning by the noise and loud laughter. These were all minor and did not take away from our stay. Afte the wedding on Saturday, everyone went home while my sister and I remained to enjoy the rest of our peaceful stay, we loved the local restaurants and all of the beautiful view

Terrible accommodations for wedding guests and elderly

The lack of Wi-Fi and the ridiculous, dangerous winding roads, made our stay impossible to enjoy. We were there for a wedding, absolutely terrible.

Mountain Retreat

This is our first time staying in Bear Lake Reserve. The house is less the 10 minutes in from the gate and another 10 minutes from the Amenity center. It was a quiet street with three other homes near-by. We typically stay nearer to Cashiers, but decided to branch out. Cashiers was a short 30 minute drive. Just a reminder…everything in the mountains is a 30 minute drive. House was in great shape and very clean. We had everything we needed and the property manager was very responsive with the few minor questions we had. Per the listing cell service is a little spotty, but we had Verizon and had some good service inside and in the front of the house. The amenity center was fantastic with the pools, small water slide, restaurant, and bar. We rented a Pontoon boat one day and floated on the lake for several hours. It was great to have everything contained within the development. There are a lot of hiking trails that are around the property. You will see signs for them as you drive around. We hiked a few of them and was a lot of fun. There is actually a trailhead within the development that will take you into the Nantahala National Forest. You could make it an all day adventure in there and make it back to the pool by sundown. Trail is found in AllTrails App. Also, make your way up to the golf course for lunch at the food truck (even if you aren’t playing) as the views outside were fantastic. House did come with a few sets of golf clubs, tennis rackets, and even pickleball.
