About this property

Cozy Island Cottage, centrally located in the Heart of the Village

Cozy Cottage, perfect for couples or small families. Short walk away from the inlet and all the shops and restaurants surrounding. This is a 350 sq ft cottage. This beautiful bungalow is completed with a queen size bed, a pull out couch (full), a full bathroom, a large outside shower, tv, internet, kitchenette with large dorm sized refrigerator and freezer, small kitchen sink, and hot plate with pots and pans. Recently renovated because of Hurricane Dorian, we have also added an outside shower to a list of the amenities, and If you are looking to escape and enjoy the freedom from the hustle and bustle of day to day life, this is your perfect island paradise. Don't forget the dogs! Dogs are allowed for a small additional fee.
Please leave the cottage better than you found it! We do not provide linens, towels, or paper products. This is my personal cottage, so please respect it as if it were your grandmothers :). Check in is at 2pm, Check out is 11am. If you have any specific request don’t hesitate to ask, I promise you I’m a friendly fellow. There are golf carts available at the house one is dedicated for guest use. Information on how rent are in the house.

Toilet and shower was dirty upon arrival we had to clean it ourselves. The toilet seat is falling off not secure. The AC in the room has a horrible smell . There is a clicking noise when you turn the fan on in the room which makes it hard to sleep . The floors are uneven . Everything in the house is rundown and dirty. There is clearly birds in the roof above the shower. I reached out to the host on day 1 and he did not respond back I’ve given him plenty of time at this point . The contact number for the host is not even the host it’s someone else who lives in the area.

Dear Winter, First, I did respond promptly to your initial messages—so I’m a bit surprised to see otherwise stated here. Communication matters, and I make every effort to be available to guests. Regarding the cleanliness concerns, there was unfortunately a miscommunication with our cleaning service prior to your arrival. That’s on us—and it’s already been addressed. We’ve since replaced that service to ensure this doesn’t happen again. As for the “local contact,” yes—that is intentional. Since I do not live on-site (if we did, there wouldn’t exactly be a rental available…), I have someone nearby to assist guests when needed. That said, I somewhat appreciate the bright comments and hope you find other accommodations on the island (or anywhere else under the sun) that will meet your tempered customer service needs. -Sunny

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy cottage. It had everything we needed for our stay…..nice kitchenette, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and shower, cozy sitting area, and nice tvs. So nicely decorated and in walking distance to everything in Ocracoke village. Has a spacious porch and is pet friendly. Would definitely stay there again.
