Lovely escape from the city

I stayed with Richard and Sheila for one month to escape the city life. They were incredibly helpful and welcoming. They were always available to help and answer questions, gave me great recommendations for hikes in the area, and even offered to drive me to the train station when I left. I could not recommend this stay enough - the place is clean, tidy, cozy and the locals are super friendly!!! I will be back!

Great escape

Nice and quiet location nestled in a beautiful hillside. We happened to go during activities, so there were others in the other rooms with some joyous noise, but nothing excessive or bad. Several available units in the property so there are other guests on the location. Such a great place and people!

We had a great time in our cosy little cottage!

We enjoyed the quiet, peacefulness of the place and the view from our window every morning. The studio was small but comfortable and had all the equipment we needed. The situation is perfect, a small drive from Brecon Beacons and also the beautiful Gower peninsula.

Cosy with incredible views and hikes right on the doorstep

Our cottage was cosy but had plenty of space for us to move around, cook dinner, and relax. The location was quiet and beautiful and also close to everything we wanted to travel to.

Hello, I’m Clair, and together with my Son Tye and other family members we run Tunnel Cottages. We love welcoming guests to our little countryside retreat, where comfort and nature go hand in hand. My partner David is the handy one who keeps everything running smoothly, our two daughters Chloe and Rosie enjoy being part of the day-to-day, and we also have two friendly ponies who love to say hello to visitors.

Our cottages are designed for cosy, relaxing stays with underfloor heating, log burners, and outdoor spaces perfect for BBQs and stargazing. We’re also pet-friendly (with a small additional charge), so your four-legged companions don’t have to miss out. A starter pack of logs is included, with extra bundles available to purchase if you’d like more.

Whether you’re here for countryside walks, local attractions, or just a peaceful break surrounded by woodland, we’re always happy to share recommendations and make you feel right at home.
