The 4th Underground House to join the family! This home in the hill is a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of today. The beautifully rounded windows provide a feeling of being truly hidden away in the hills, whilst allowing the natural light to pour in! Perfectly equipped with everything you need for a relaxing break - two king-size bedrooms and a child's bunk room. Our lovely living area has a beautifully designed kitchen with oven, hob and fridge with ice compartment, breakfast bar with comfy seating to kick your feet up and relax...whilst the other half pours you a glass of wine!

The bathroom really is a highlight for this property! A beautiful basin with ring light mirror to capture the perfect selfies in the fabulous lighting! There is also a spacious shower with marble splash back walls, the perfect way to refresh after a night of wining and dining.

Enjoy a glass, or two of bubbles, under the stars in your very own, private hot tub, taking in the breathtaking views across the farmland towards the Elan Valley, or why not sit around the firepit with loved ones, gossiping through the night.

You will feel truly hidden away, as if you have stepped into your own special fairy tale, looking through the spherical windows tucked in the undulating meadow.

Otters View truly is a 'hidden' gem. Comfortable, cosy and created just for you. The excitement may be too much for everyone as you tuck yourselves in for your first night in your ‘den'.

We loved our stay
We absolutely loved our stay. It gave us the opportunity to switch off and enjoy each other. The property was simply stunning, the children loved the ‘wardrobe style beds’, the round window seat was a massive hit as a den when the weather wasn’t on our side. It was beautiful, thank you so much for having us

Otters view review
We had been wanting to stay at these hobbit houses since seeing them on Instagram. We were disappointed. We found them really expensive for what they are. The bunk bed room was claustrophobic and like being shut in a cupboard. In the main bedroom there were no curtains up to the curved parts of the window so when we were in bed people could see us in bed that were walking past. We had really bad condensation in the rooms I’m talking dripping off the windows which wouldn’t be good for anyone with asthma/breathing problems. They say they are pet friendly but then under no circumstances leave your dog in unattended. Our lab is old and can’t walk far so that was a problem as we couldn’t walk as far as we had hoped. We came home a day early and wouldn’t recommend or come back. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but these are really overpriced

Had a wonderful two night stay! Super clean and great facilities. I would say that perhaps where the curtains don’t meet on the circular doors to have mirrored glass (you see out, no one can see in) for a bit more privacy as the curtains don’t meet the full door. Apart from that could not fault the stay!

Overall great little getaway
As a party of two the Otters view was a perfect option for a little getaway, easy arrival with no fuss settling in. Very clean, Ample space, very comforting location, and as a big LOTR’s fan the hobbit lodge was a perfect choice. Would definitely visit again.

2 nights at Otters View
We spent 2 nights at Otters View, 2 adults, 3 teens and our dog. Everyone loved the hobbit hole! The hot tub was a hit with us all - the view was amazing across the Valley. We walked in the Elan Valley and took advantage of the local chippy in Rhayader - so friendly and great food. Would definitely recommend as an unusual and lovely place to stay.
