Our “upgrade” was a downgrade
Original reserved rental supposedly had a leak so we received an “upgrade”, it was actually a downgrade. We were supposed to have 3 bedrooms, this had 2. The hot and cold water didn’t mix in the shower head so you could only take a scalding or freezing shower. After my 2nd kid showered, we were out of hot water; my husband and I got lukewarm only. The house was cold, and temps/times could not be over-ridden. There was moldy bread in the cabinet, the trash bin outside was overflowing so the top couldn’t close, the TV didn’t work and that seemed to be the biggest worry of the owner who brought us an aerial and seemed upset when we said we tried to increase the heat. After 1 night sleeping fully dressed, leaving for Saturday and coming back to a cold house, we left 2 days left on the rental. I sent them a message with my concerns and requested a partial refund and still have not heard back. We also learned the rental we were moved to was actually an unsafe neighborhood, evident from the extensive graffiti and palate tower being built across the street & the front door didn’t lock.
