Summary:
If you have love to celebrate, if you fancy a cottage with a cosy stove or if you think you just deserve it, then treat yourself to a few nights in Tiny House Groede in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. This cottage is a lovely place to enjoy comfort and romance in a minimalist way.
The Space:
Fine cottage with Scandinavian look in Beach & Balance atmospheres.
You should really just agree with yourself that you will go to Zeeuws-Vlaanderen for a weekend (or longer) once a year. To hike through the beautiful countryside, enjoy delicious Burgundian food or just go into total relaxation mode. Whichever of the three you choose, book a few nights at Tiny House Groede in the hamlet of 'Kruisdijk' close to the villages of Breskens and Groede and you know you'll be fine.
The cottage is inspired by the Tiny House trend where people want to live more minimalist, without too much fuss. After a long beach walk, brew yourself a nice cup of tea and warm yourself by the pellet stove. Adventurous surf photos and elements like wood and steel can be found throughout the cottage. The modern converted Ikea kitchen with oak details is probably the first thing you will notice upon entering. You can see that this cottage has been furnished with an eye for detail; just look at that luxurious rain shower with matte black elements and the wooden loft that has been completely measured out to your liking. Tiny House Beach & Balance is suitable for two people, so be sure to bring your partner, good friend or daughter!

The Neighborhood:
Things to do in Groede and its surroundings
Whether you want to get a breath of fresh air on a cold day, take a dip in the summer months or relax with a towel on the sand: Groede has several (clean) beaches where this is possible. Take long beach walks, search for beautiful shells and fossils or enjoy a drink and a snack at one of the many beach pavilions.
Groede itself is also worth a visit. The village is small but very nice! Stroll through the traditional Slijkstraatje, for example. You will step back in time to the Groede of old; old traditions are still very much alive here. Not only do you find characteristic houses here, but also a bakery, shop and old workshops. All this comes under the name Het Vlaamse Erfgoed. From the Slijkstraatje, you walk within a few minutes towards the Markt, where you will find nice places to eat and drink such as Fonteyn, De Drie Koningen and Etablissement 1880. From these hotspots, you have a view of the Grote Kerk.
For shopaholics, Sluis or, just across the border, Knokke and Bruges are the place for successful shopping. For nature lovers, there is also plenty to see and do in this region. How about a visit to the bird sanctuary 't Zwin in Knokke or the nature reserve de Zwarte Polder in Nieuwvliet?
Would you like to cross the border to Belgium? From Groede you can be in cities such as Bruges or Knokke within about 30 minutes' drive. Go to Bruges if you love a romantic, fairytale atmosphere and are interested in history, go to Knokke if you want to immerse yourself in a luxury Walhalla of shops and restaurants with - yet often - a price tag. Both trips are worthwhile!
