Cute and comfortable "cottage" feel/decor home located in the heart of Marquette and dog friendly. Enjoy summer breezes, outdoor fire pit (firewood provided) and small but fully enclosed yard with 8 foot cedar privacy fence. Sit on the front porch and enjoy the views: several of Marquette's historical buildings, downtown activity, and glimpses of the Great Lake Superior. Walk or bike to everything and anything - Lower Harbor, local breweries, Farmer's Market, Music on Third Street (weekly in summer), Presque Isle, Black Rocks, bike and hiking trails and more!!! Ceiling fans and many windows throughout entire home with views of people and places around town; bamboo floors in dining/living room and bedrooms: Bedroom #1/queen bed; Bedroom #2/single bed. Off-street parking for 2 vehicles, washer/dryer, Coleman propane grill, herb garden (seasonal), and walk-in shower.

We had a wonderful stay. The property is very cute and it was extremely clean. A perfect location for a quick walk to the downtown district and only a couple of blocks from Blackrocks Brewery. We will definitely try and book this property on our next trip to Marquette.

Our stay was great! Our host offered early check-in if we needed, which was appreciated. The online pictures need to be updated because the place has been remodeled a bit - especially the bathroom and it made the place even better! The shower is amazing! Great place to stay.

September vacation

Location near center of town was great! House had everything we needed to regroup between camping trips. Fourth Street can be a busy road and at times the road noise was loud when we had the windows open. I would definitely stay here again!

This is the second time we’ve stayed. The home is well equipped and the location is perfect. Comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, and very nicely decorated. We will definitely be back!

Perfect size and location for small family.

The home is in a perfect location a block from both Washington and 3rd, which makes for a short walk to the business district, restaurants, coffee, breweries, bike trail, and farmers market. Well appointed and very clean, with small sideyard that is fenced and two porches. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Loved staying at this property. Everything both downtown and on third street is in walking distance. We cooked one meal in and the kitchen was fully equipped with every utensil we needed. Very clean and cute decor!

Susan's house is perfectly located, walking distance to the water and restaurants. We had a great weekend visiting the UP -- utilizing Susan's home as a base camp for trips to the Painted Rocks, Presque Isle, and various hikes in and around the Marquette area. Would recommend to anyone visiting Marquette/UP.

We had a lovely time and this property is perfect! Cozy and quaint, close to town. Just a short walk or drive. Let friendly with fenced in back yard. Definitely will return!

Was very clean, loved the front porch. The bed in the front bedroom was very high could use a stepstool but our other party couldnt make it so it wasnt an issue. Would have liked a little more information on how to open the door. Didn't realize we had to turn the lock under the key pad after entering the number. The hill was a little tough on a hot day, otherwise it was good exercise.

Great place

It was nice that everything at this place was primarily on one level. The only stairs are the stairs up to the patio. I’ll do the bathroom might look a little rough and we were told as much by the host the shower was overall amazing. This property is also really conveniently located to NMU as well as downtown Marquette. We definitely plan to be back.

Great House!

Susan's house is perfect! It's only a few minutes walk to downtown, it's clean, and she allows dogs. The house is even more updated now than the pictures on the site with newer linens and some decoration updates. We were immediately comfortable and happy that we paid a little more for the house than some of the others we had looked at in the area. We really don't have any complaints for the house at all. Everything in the description is accurate, and Susan is a reliable host that is helpful and responds quickly. I would stay at her house again if I visit Marquette in the future.

Essentials plus surprise accommodation for our dog. Walking distance to good dining choices. Fourth St is very busy/noisy - lots of car and foot traffic. Single side access to bed was uncomfortable. Some light switches worked erratically or not at all. Except for surprisingly updated shower, it reminded me of off-campus housing I had in college. It worked for our need of a base to access local hiking trails.

Susan’s home was so lovely! It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. It was the perfect location right in downtown by the shops, restaurants, and cafes. She had treats, toys, and bowls out for the dogs. The house even has a fenced in yard, easy to let the dogs in and out. Thank you so much!
