About this property
COTSWOLD ESCAPE WITH SWIMMING POOL ❤ CHELTENHAM
Summary:
Treat yourself to a stay at this gorgeous Cotswold farmhouse which is brimming with character and charm. The house is the perfect place to get together with your loved ones and enjoy an escape in the countryside. Enjoy alfresco dining in late summer evenings inside the beautiful garden room whilst the kids play in the pool or cosy up in front the fire for a games night. There are many local walks and pubs on your doorstep and the lively market town of Stroud & Cheltenham are close by.
The Space:
A large detached house, with a large garden and plenty of parking. Private driveway with 5 bar gate securing the property. There is staff accommodation available separately.(Sleeping 4)
The kitchen is to the right of the hall, a substantial open space consisting of a sitting area with an open fire place, dining area and cooking area. Through the kitchen, you will find a small office with a marble desk and fitted drawers. Beyond this is the large pet/utility room.
To the left of the entrance hall, there is a large drawing room with an adjoining study. The drawing room has 3 large sofas looking onto a beautiful log burner for those cosy evenings. There are large doors to break up the study and drawing room if desired. Sofa bed is situated in the study.
Upstairs the first room to find is the primary bedroom. A king size bed and bespoke fitted wardrobes. You will find a large dressing table and a balcony looking out to the garden and a stunning en-suite bathroom. Beside the primary bedroom is a spacious shower room with eclectic tiling and vanity unit. Following this, is the twin room with two single beds. Antique beds fill this room beautifully, along with a dressing table and a large fitted wardrobe. The single room sits further through the house with a fitted wardrobe and views to the garden. The second bedroom has large bespoke wardrobes, with a queen bed, as well as a large dressing table with amazing views. Finally, the third bedroom has bespoke fitted wardrobes, a queen bed and a dressing table.
The downstairs bathroom sits off the main entrance hall, whilst the 4th sits upstairs between the second and third queen bedrooms.
The outside of the property consists of a massive lawn with bespoke swimming pool and garden pavilion.
The pavilion is amazing for long summer days and even cosy winter nights. With an open log fire and retro leather sofas, the pavilion is a place for the adults to escape to when the children are in bed! Alternatively, a great family hangout during the day, a large glass dining table sits on the turf flooring. Beautiful, handmade beams surrounding the unique structure, made totally by hand.
Guest Access:
The entire property is available and waiting to be enjoyed.
Pool open April to October.
The Neighborhood:
Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Cotswold farm is situated approximately 2.9 Miles from the market town of Stroud. Stroud consists of quirky independent shops, with a local farmers market running every Saturday. The Cotswold Way walk is just miles from the farm, with stunning walks into the five valleys, straight from the property. The town of Cheltenham is just 10 miles from the farm, with the Cheltenham festival is running throughout the year, as well as buzzing restaurants and a large variety of shops. Cirencester is about 15 miles away, with idyllic countryside villages dotted in between.
Getting Around:
With enough parking for up to 5 cars, Cotswold farm is perfect for family stays. Stroud train station is a 13 minute drive away, with speedy routes to London Paddington, in just an hour and 20 minutes. There are bus services either end of the lane the farm sits on, however the reliability of these are debatable considering the countryside position!
