Great place, great location, the bungalow could do with some T.L.C. otherwise clean and tidy, had to buy towels as not provided. Great location as a base. Love Watchet hopefully back again thank you
This was a great base for exploring the Quantock Hills and the coast. The property was as described and communication with the owner very easy. We had a very confortable stay.
We had read the description and the reviews so we knew what to expect and the bungalow met our expectations. It was warm and comfortable throughout the week allowing us to fully enjoy our days out and our evenings relaxing. We visited some of our favourite places on Exmoor, Lynton and Lynmouth, Street and Ham Wall, Minehead and Bossington as well as discovering new places close by like Staple Plantation and the Quantocks. It is fair to say that the bungalow is not the height of luxury but it suited us very well and we would have no hesitation in booking again.

Unfortunately the bungalow was a bit tired. The furniture was worn however the bed was comfortable. The microwave and washing machine could not be plugged in to the wall socket.

hi sorry younthought furniture old it was all replaced 18 months ago The plugs available in the kitchen mean that two things can be plugged in a two way switch is available in a draw If you felt these things could you have contacted Kate our manager I am disappointed by your review as everyone else has given 5 stare we will have asap in bookings so I will ask Kate to leave labels in the kitchen . I can't do much abut your criticism of the furniture the seat covers can be cleaned and I will talk to Kate very best wishes David
Great place to get away from the World (But not too far)
Came here for a short stay. The bungalow was clean on arrival and all the necessaties of a home away from home facilities were in place (large fridge/freezer), cooker, TV/Wifi, shower etc and worked as expected.
The bungalow was very warm and the heating a little hard to work out how to adjust to get it cooler but with the large patio door it wasn't such a problem.
The place does look a little dated with some older styled furntiure but it was all comfy and for the price I have no complaints.
You do need a car to get about really Watchet is a lovely community with great pubs and food and the East Quay art centre is something all towns should be jealous of.
I did pop over to the farm shop but felt the choice there wasn't great but perhaps I was just being fussy.
I would happily book again for 2025.

We felt lucky to find this bungalow. With only one review, we were hesitant, but Vrbo confirmed past bookings and we’re so glad we went ahead. It was a perfect last-minute choice. The location is excellent: walking distance to Doniford Beach, a short drive to Watchet and Helwell, and just 10–15 minutes to Kilve Beach, where we had an unforgettable walk among surreal rock formations and cliffs. Fossil hunting there was a highlight. The bungalow itself is solid, quiet, and well soundproofed. Not at all like a creaky caravan. It’s spacious, spotless, and comfortably furnished in a retro style, not dated! Everything worked well, kitchen, bathroom, beds. The washing machine was especially handy after muddy walks. No dishwasher, but not an issue for a short stay.It was a bit cold on arrival (likely just cleaned), but the hosts quickly brought an extra radiator, and it warmed up fast. They were kind and helpful, reliable and prompt, even if not instantly responsive after booking. We felt safe, rested, and at ease. The area is peaceful, with quiet neighbours and a calming atmosphere. Now that we know it, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. A great base for exploring the coast, and we’ll definitely be back at this bungalow when we will visit the area again.
