Lovely bungalow in a great location for the beach and getting about the area. Excellent communication from the host, who added a couple of extra things for us to help with our trip. We will definitely stay again. Thank you.
Bungalow very comfortable and clean had constant hot water. Excellent WI-FI. Good size TV with good signal. We had a sunny 2 weeks and so much to do in the area. Especially good dog walks from property. 10 out of 10
Conveniently close to both Watchet and Williton - there isn’t much in Doniford itself. We were there for a week-long archery tournament, so didn’t spend a huge amount of time in the Bungalow. It had what we needed to cook for ourselves most nights. Plenty of room for 2 people, although 4 might have felt crowded. Happy to recommend.
Location and price was perfect for us and was a welcome sight after our trip from the USA and Heathrow airport. The host allowed us to get in early if we needed to, but with traffic, didn't arrive until late. Communication with the host was excellent and very prompt with with replies and helped us out with a couple of requests and fulfilled them. The bungalow was very clean and comfortable. There are no negatives from us, but glad we had a smaller car as the drive is shared and tight.
Lovely quiet place, ideal for dogs. This is our 4th visit here and would come back again. Very good value for money. Lots of safe walks from the bungalow.
Older style bungalow great for quiet Holiday with dogs and kids
A lovely cute and cosy bungalow in a mini cul de sac of 4 on the edge of a nice babbling brook. A mostly private garden area (we would have preferred a fenced off area for the dogs at the back as the others had, but even with our naughty ones we managed). We are not a fan of the busy/noisy crammed in 'party life' found at your usual Holiday/ caravan resorts so this was great. Quiet, private and all the comforts we needed and everything was clean and tidy. It was neatly presented when we arrived including lovely clean and fresh bedding and towels, reclining chairs to put your feet up after a stroll and all you need and more for a peaceful break away. It is within walking distance of a huge and mostly empty beach covered in ammonite fossils embedded in the rocks at low tide. We took several relaxing and enjoyable long slow strolls with the dogs there and nearby short driving trips to adjoining beaches. It was also not too far from Minehead for a bigger food shopping selection or if you want a more traditional beachfront day, we would also recommend the gorgeous Dunster Castle and town for a nice day out.
We enjoyed our 2 night stay in June. Loved the outdoor space and the location. Decor and furniture a little tired, but no complaints. Had all we needed. Kate was friendly, helpful and responsive.
Amazing property, all you need, so close to.the beach and the beds are super comfy! Very clean and everything you need! This was pur swcond time returning and has been a firm favourite!

On entering bungalow we noticed an unpleasant smell.we opened windows to help get rid of it.Some of utensils were quite dirty especially the Pyrex jug in cupboard.Windows needed a clean.Patio area had lots of moss.Beds were ok but overall the whole place needs updating. So sorry to moan but feel that the owner needs to see for herself.Hygenically not up to Vrbo standard that we’re used to.
It exceeded pur expectations, the location is stunning, 5min walk from a quiet beach, the beds were super comfy and the place was super clean with everything you need. Already thinking of whento return! Thank you!
Functional, if dated. Suggest installation of thermal cut out to make safe the extremely hot water, or mixer taps.

Short break in Somerset
We stayed at this bungalow and enjoyed our visit. However the cleanliness was a little hit and miss, had to wash the cutlery before use. Bed linen was excellent but found the seating uncomfortable and very dated. Tolerable for a short break but otherwise no. Shame as a lovely location close to lots of interesting places. Needs an update in a big way.
We really enjoyed our stay in Doniford. We have stayed at the property before and it’s a great base to go all over west Somerset. We had no problems at all and everything we needed was here. Also great for birds in the garden.
Dated property but it has everything you need. It’s in a good location to walk along the coastline. Great outdoor space. Beds are comfy. We enjoyed our stay and would book again!

About the host

I live in Hampshire with my husband and two children.
Why they chose this property
I bought this property as I used to come to Doniford Meadow on holiday myself as a child and loved it, especially hunting for fossils on the beach. I wanted to be able to bring my family to Doniford for holidays and give others the opportunity of discovering the delights of the area for themselves.
