About this property

Grade 2 listed Old Post Office in rural Suffolk

A grade 2 listed property located in the quiet country village of Walpole - a stone's throw away from Suffolk's heritage coast and found just off the famous scenic route of the A1120.

The Old Post Office is a warm and welcoming space with limewashed walls, vintage furnishings and fireplaces in most rooms. We hope you can use us as a retreat to enjoy all that Suffolk has to offer with family and friends.

A Georgian property that was converted from an old post office, the downstairs boasts a light-filled sitting room with a piano and projector to play games and watch movies in. The dining room is the perfect place to eat brunch or a slow-cooked dinner. A small library leads off the space which you are welcome to browse through; the kitchen, containing all the necessities, leads to the garden. The property has a separate utility room with a washer and dryer.

With five generous double bedrooms, large groups can easily be accommodated without feeling cramped. With a bathroom on each floor, each with a roll-top bath and a walk-in shower, there's everything you need after a spot of local swimming. The master room has a unique balcony that can be used for an afternoon tipple to soak up the last of the sun's rays alongside a wood burner that can warm up a winter's night.

The garden has both a grassed area and a separate dining space underneath a pergola with newly planted raised beds.

The property has two car parking spots on the property, with the added benefit of additional village parking around the corner.
