About this property
Charming Stone House with Pool, Set in Idillic Countryside Area, with Sea Views
Villa Mir is perfect for the guest who wishes to have an idyllic and tranquil holiday away from the crowded tourism on the coast, yet be close enough to enjoy the coastal amenities. The villa is just 1.2 km from the beach and from Postira with its shopping, cafes and restaurants. Yet the house is surrounded on all sides by panoramic countryside views and has no neighbours. The villa even has its own olive grove.
You can enjoy spending lazy days by the pool on the the spacious sun bathing terrace. And enjoy grilling meals and dining on the large dining terrace looking out over the pool and the sparkling sea of the Adriatic in the distance.
The house is set on one floor where there is a large open plan living/dining room with a separate kitchen. Double doors from this opens onto the back dining terrace which is right by the villa olive grove.
Off the living area are 2 double bedrooms. And there is a sofabed in the living room. And a shower room.
Getting to Brac: To reach Brac take the 50 minute car ferry from Split harbour. Split harbour is 20 kilometres from Split airport. The crossing takes about 50 minutes. The cost per person is approx 6,50 Euro.
Getting to the Property: You will checkin at the office of Dalmatian Property Management in Supetar. The office is 200 m from the ferry port. We will supply you with photo directions how to get to the apartment. And will give you information about the region, supermarkets, restaurants and cultural events you might visit during your stay. You will feel completely looked after. And in a case you need anything else DPM personnel will be happy to help.
Other things to note:
Please note you will need to pay in cash on arrival 2 Euro per person per day tourist tax.
Late arrival and Sunday check in fees apply.
Pets policy - please email to find out if you can bring your pet.
Neighbourhood
Postira is a small town situated in the northern part of the island, 12km from Supetar where the car ferries arrive. The well indented shoreline with its numerous bays makes it very attractive to tourists and locals alike. The beaches are mostly pebbles though the nearby sandy beach of Lovrecina Bay is just 2km away and makes for a great day out with its beach cafe/ restaurant.
Postira has an old core in the centre with mosaic tiled streets, narrow lanes, up hills and down hills, detached old houses and hidden gateways. Pleasure boats go from here to the Cetina River on the mainland for rafting excursions, a very enjoyable day out.
You can also explore the island and its beautiful nature or enjoy a day at the beach sipping a cocktail in one of the many beach bars. There is a great selection of restaurants all over the island where you will be able to try traditional Dalmatian cuisine but also classic Mediterranean and international/ fusion meals.
Alternatively, you can take a 50 minute ferry ride to Split and wonder around the 1700 year old alleyways of the Diocleceans Palace, do some designer shopping, or just promenade along the elegant palm tree lined Riva eating an ice cream! For a quiet holiday come in April-June or September/October.
Easy and regular access to the mainland makes it a great place to have not just a relaxing beach holiday + the whole island to explore by scooter, boat or car but also makes for a convenient base from which to visit the historic sites of Split. If walking is your thing, there are plenty of lovely coastal and inland walking trails with many beautiful old stone villages to explore.
