2 bedroom Townhouse in Almunecar

Charming town house in the heart of historic Almuñecar, set on a quiet street offering a tranquil space away from the hustle and bussle. Just a few minutes walk to the town hall square and the centre of the town’s boutique shopping district. The beautiful beaches of San Cristobel and Atilla are under a 10 minute walk past the Parque Majuleo botanical gardens.

The house has been fully modernised and transformed into a lovely, roomy and characterful living space.

Entering the house, there is a fully equipped kitchen/diner, and a cosy reading nook under the stairs. There are a selection of books and boardgames for you to enjoy.

The master bedroom is nice and bright with a comfortable double-bed, Smart TV and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Through the glass door in the kitchen you enter a small open courtyard with a spiral staircase that lead to the terraces. Here you’ll also find the door to the second bedroom.

The second bedroom is a pretty single room with an en-suite wetroom. There is also a skylight to lie in bed to watch the clouds and night-sky!

Both terraces are private, the first (lower) terrace has seating in a shady alcove perfect for relaxing with a good book. Further up the stairs, another terrace has views across to the mountains and over the rooftops of Almuñecar. With comfortable seating, a fridge, food preparation area and a BBQ, it is a perfect place to relax in the evening and enjoy the sunset. There is a toldo meaning that even in the heat of the day there is more than ample shade to enjoy an afternoon siesta.

Great place to stay
This is a lovely small traditional house in the old town near to the main square and not too far up the narrow backstreets. The terrace gives beautiful views acrosss the town to the mountains, with the sea over to the left. Sunsets are wonderful to watch from there. All facilities in the house are excellent and very well maintained. It's easy to get into the town and amble around the lanes and plazas and the beach is only ten minutes away. Jo went out of her way to make us welcome and was very helpful and friendly. The town in not the easiest to park in during the peak August season but there we found effective ways around that. All in all we had a great stay and would definitely recommend.

Why they chose this property

Almunecar it is not just a holiday town, but a very Spanish working town full of life and character. As well as an exllent shopping district with bustling cafes and restaurants, there are 2 weekly markets and all of this is within a few minutes walk from our house. Almunecar offers fabulous beaches, parks, history and it's less than an hours drive from Granada!

What makes this property unique

We spent years looking for the perfect townhouse with terraces accessed from the outside and located in a quiet road where no cars can drive! We used a HongKong architect to design our renovation, and the result is space optimization with stylish living spaces.
