Villa With Pool and Stunning Sea Views

House on the hill about 70 meters above the sea in the Urbanización Los Pinos on the beach of Velilla.
It's a house consisting of 2 apartments with fully independent entrance. Access to the upper house from the street directory and can be enjoyed from the outset with an excellent view of the Mediterranean sea, which can be enjoyed from the living room while on vacation.
Both the lounge and the bedrooms are fully furnished and decorated and fully equipped kitchen and bathroom.
In the lower part of the plot is an area composed of terrace, garden with tropical plants and a private swimming pool 7x4 m usable throughout the year.
The bottom housing is occupied by the owner of the house who speaks perfect English and French.
You can park your car outside the house with no parking problem during all seasons.
The area has a subtropical climate with temperatures ranging between 18 º C in winter to 30 º C in summer.

We had a lovely relaxing stay here. The view was fabulous and we enjoyed our time by the pool. Juan was great at answering our questions both before and during our stay, and was on hand when there were minor things that needed looking at. The walk up from the beach/restaurants is fairly steep but not too long (15 mins) and although looked daunting initially we actually all found it ok. The accommodation itself was basic but fine for our needs and the air con was much appreciated. The only slight negative was that there were a lot of ants, which meant you had to be really careful to cover/seal any food well, but to be expected I guess in a rural location in the height of summer and we managed ok.

Gorgeous views and friendly host

The appartment has all the basics you need for a pleasant stay. It is not luxurious but practical and for the warm period good working airconditioning in every room.Most important is the location and the gorgeous view, both from the appartment and the swimming area. Almuñecar van be quite a busy place in summer season, however, om top of your own hill you set yourself apart and can enjoy the beautiful view and some peace and quiet.Juan is a very friendly and pleasant host and we enjoyed our stay.

Incredible View

The unique selling point of this villa is the most incredible view of the sea and the Costa Tropical coastline. What more can you ask for. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable with all the necessary modern conveniences. The owner lives in the downstairs apartment but we only saw him on the first day so had complete sole use of the pool and garden. Communication was excellent and the owner was very accommodating. I would suggest you need a car to get to and from the beach and town centre. I would highly recommend this property but perhaps don’t tell too many people, let’s keep it our secret.

The hosts were very nice.However, when we arrived at the property there was an infestation of tiny ants. They were everywhere. The kitchen and worktops, the bathroom, lounge, bedrooms and some nights in our actual beds!The TV never worked, the kettle only got warm but never boiled (Juan replaced that) and the air conditioning didn't work until the day before we left. I suspect The owner put a timer on the handsets to stop us using it. Every day was in the thirties so it was uncomfortable especially at nights.There were ceiling fans but they offered little relief from the heat.We knew that access to the pool was via a set of steps, and in hindsight the ramp to the pool edge was steep ( no steps) and very difficult for people in their seventies to negotiate. There was a wooden handrail that was just stakes hammered into soft earth, so when you reached for them they moved all over the place. OK probably for young people to negotiate, but dangerous for the elderly like us. That experience meant we only ventured to the pool the once.I thought Juan might have offered us a refund of some of our money, but nothing was forth coming. Then that would never happen would it?All in all a very disappointing stay for all three of us.Elderly people should be warned about the pool access prior to booking though.

I am sorry that your stay was not as satisfactory as it has been for so many other guests. The ant problem occurs during periods of intense heat and affects the entire Mediterranean coast due to the humidity and in areas outside the city centre. We provide products that combat these insects very effectively. The air conditioning has an automated system, just like in many hotels, which automatically deactivates when the exterior doors or windows are opened. The television would not turn on because one of the buttons, specifically the GUIDE button, was stuck and pressed, and logically the other buttons could not function. We replaced the kettle with a working one as soon as we knew it.

Traumhafte Lage

Das Haus hat eine traumhafte Lage über der Stadt. Vom Balkon und vom Pool schaut man hinaus auf das Meer. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig, optimale für einen entspannten Urlaub. Vom Balkon konnten wir auch viele Tiere beobachten. Highlight war die fast tägliche Sichtung von Delfinen, die bis zu 50m an die Küste herankommen.Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist zweckmäßig und gemütlich. Die Betten waren sehr gut. Die Klimaanlage macht die Nächte erträglich. Ameisen sind leider allgegenwärtig, aber wenn man die Lebensmittel gut verschließt und lagert, kann man mit den kleinen Tierchen gut leben. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Der Pool und die Anlage drumherum sind in einem sehr sauberen und ordentlichen Zustand. Die Fotos in der Anzeige täuschen nicht. Wir haben die gute Lage an der Costa del Sol genutzt um einige Sehenswürdigkeiten Andalusiens zu besuchen.Es war ein toller Urlaub.

Overwinteren in Spanje

Wij hebben volop genoten van ons 5 weekse verblijf in de schitterende woning van Juan en zijn partner. Een prachtig uitzicht op zee, de opkomende zon en de mooie tuin met zwembad heeft ons doen genieten van een heerlijke vakantie in Velilla- Taramay en Almunecar. De woning is gelegen op een hogere helling op ongeveer 15 minuten loopafstand van de boulevard met winkeltjes en diverse terrassen.De communicatie met Juan verliep zeer prettig. Met vragen konden wij steeds bij hem terecht en was hij altijd vriendelijk en hulpvaardig.

Es war ein toller Urlaub mit Sonnenaufgang auf Terrasse und Meerblick

Unterkunft super. Nette Gastgeber. Bei einem Problem wurde schnell geholfen. Es war alles vorhanden (Gewürze ect Waschmaschine und Spülmaschine. Danke an Juan und Margot, wir empfehlen euch weiter. Für Aktivitäten und Einkauf sollte man ein Auto haben.

Super Ferienwohnung!

Die Gastgeber hatten uns schon vor unserer Reise über alle wichtigen Details der Wohnung informiert. So fühlten wir uns von Anfang an willkommen. Die Sonnenaufgänge von der Terrasse aus zu beobachten war das beste. Und abends hört man das Meer rauschen. Die Gastgeber waren sehr diskret. So konnten wir unsere Zeit dort gut genießen. FeWo hätte nicht besser sein können. Alles war in bester Ordnung. Juan war immer erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Ein bisschen Baulärm aus der Umgebung, etwas heruntergekommene Rückseiten der Hotelhochhäuser am Strand sowie die z.T etwas steile Zufahrt liegen nicht in der Verantwortung des Vermieters. Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben!

Un très agréable séjour qui a répondu à nos attentes comme la première fois. La piscine est très bien, ainsi que la méditerranée proche des 30° en septembre. La vue est très agréable, ainsi que le calme et la proximité de grandes villes (Grenade, Malaga, Cordoue). Juan le propriétaire est à votre écoute et disponible.
