Oceanside beach cottage with ocean and Wright Memorial views. Our home features wonderful outdoor spaces, a hot tub, and a well appointed kitchen. We offer beach supplies, and games for the entire family.

Enjoy everything the Outer Banks has to offer from this comfortable three bed, two bath cottage a short 2-3 minute walk from the beach. This classic cottage is set up to accommodate 6 people for family vacations, girls/ guys getaways, and couples and is conveniently located in town close to local attractions, grocery stores, and area restaurants. Savor your morning coffee while taking in stunning sunrises from the scenic third story deck. Enjoy the ocean breeze while reading a book or enjoying a cold drink in the screened in porch or unwind and let the tension wash away in the hot tub.

The House:
Our three bedroom cottage is great for families or small groups. The main living space has a spacious living room, kitchen, and a breezy screened in porch with seating for everyone and lounge chairs for relaxation. Each bedroom has a tv, and the main room includes a larger tv with a dvd player. We have a variety of movies, games, and puzzles on hand to entertain the entire family in the evenings or rainy days. Downstairs below the house is a parking area for six vehicles, an outdoor utility sink and fish cleaning station, an enclosed outdoor shower, the private hot tub, and the enclosed storage area with a washer/dryer and beach accessories. The house features several decks, including the screened porch and a crow's nest with views of the ocean and the famous Wright Memorial!

Beach Time:
There is a public beach access only one block away so grab your towel and your beach chair Don't worry about packing all of the beach equipment because we'll supply the chairs, cooler, toys, and the beach cart to make your trips effortless. The Asheville Drive Beach Access is a 750-foot away, a mere 2-3 minute walk and has plenty of available parking should you prefer to drive.

Home Access:
During the summer season we rent weekly starting on Saturdays. You will have the whole house to yourselves, including a private hot tub, screened in porch, enclosed storage area. There is a keypad on the door that you will be given a code for a couple days before check in. The code changes regularly so you can feel safe that no others will have access, and you can check in/out anytime of the day. The designated check in/ out time is 3pm/ 10am each day, but feel free to check with us - if no other guests are arriving or leaving, we may be flexible!

Leave the bed sheets at home. In an effort to ensure your stay is as simple and effortless as possible we provide bed linens for all beds. All you need to pack are bath and beach towels.

Important to note - the main living space is elevated to the second level, meaning that anyone staying in the home will need to be able to climb a set of stairs, especially during check in!

We visit OBX every year and this house is one of our new favorites! Perfect size for our family of 5 and close to the beach. Our favorite details were the porch swing and screened in porch for dining. My kids loved that it felt like a tree house!My only comment would be I'm not used to having to provide our own towels. It is included in the description so we were aware, but I could see this being very inconvenient for travelers that fly in.

Our family had a terrific week staying at this house. The house was clean, everything worked, and the location was fantastic. We really appreciated the use of the beach chairs, umbrellas, and cart to tote them all to the beach which is just a few minutes' walk down the street. Perfect stay in OBX!

We enjoyed our stay so much. The house had everything we needed including beach toys and a beach wagon. The walk to the beach was close and the views of the Wright memorial from the crows nest were spectacular. The beds were comfy and it really felt like home. The hot tub was also nice to have with the cooler April evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again!

We really enjoyed our stay. House was stocked of essentials and then some. Loved the screen in porch, particularly that it had a ceiling fan. Walk to beach was easier than expected. We aren't tech savy so we struggled with getting the you tube tv app to launch, however my daughter who has streaming services made out fine. We had a hot but beautiful week on the Obx.

The house was perfect for our family in so many ways. The location was great, close to the beach. I mainly wanted to leave this review because I somehow managed to forget a whole drawer of clothes there. Brandon and Ashley were kind enough to mail them to me as soon as they could! Fantastic Rental - Perfect Location!

The pictures don't do this place justice. We LOVED our week at the High Tide Hideaway. Check in was a BREEZE and everything was exactly as described. We didn't even need to contact the hosts at all - as our place was awesome. It's the perfect location between Kitty Hawk and Nags Head and our place had everything we needed. Flying in from the west, we rented towels from a local place, and were able to use all the beach stuff from the house. The beach was a quick 5-7 min walk from the house. We would highly recommend this house to anyone coming to the OBX!

Perfect House & Location

This was our first time in NC for me, my friend and her spouse, and our two 12-year-old boys. The house had everything we needed and was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything besides groceries, towels, clothing and toiletries. If anything, the listing doesn't convey how much is included and how little we actually needed to bring. We loved the layout of the kitchen and ample storage for food. The only downside was ants, which got to some of our food, but I guess that's to be expected this time of year - we kept them under control with ant traps and making sure everything was well-sealed after that. The location was PERFECT, centrally located and accessible to so many activities. The beach was beautiful, a quick walk and easy to access. We're already talking about our next visit and staying here again. Do not hesitate, you will enjoy everything about this house and location!

Our Vacation at High Tide Hideaway

This was the first time our family has ever been to the Outer Banks and Brandon and Ashley's house was a perfect fit for our family. The whole process of renting the house was effortless. The communication with the owners was great, They made sure we had everything we needed to ensure a smooth check in and offered their help to any questions we had or advice we needed. The house was in perfect condition when we arrived and had all the essentials to make our stay very comfortable. If your family are beach lovers like mine the walk to the beach was so easy from the house, within just a couple minutes your toes are in the sand. There is also the Wright Brothers Museum across the street, restaurants, shopping, mini golf and so much more to do. A drive down the coast to the Hatteras Light house is worth seeing also. We had such a good time at Brandon and Ashley's place and would recommend it to everyone. The whole experience was just perfect.

The Outer Banks is a very special place to us, not only because of the fond childhood memories of summer vacations at the Outer Banks, but also because we recently got married in downtown Manteo. We currently reside in Raleigh, but have always dreamed of having a home at the Outer Banks and can't wait to share our home with you!

Why they chose this property

We absolutely love the classic beach cottages of the Outer Banks. We have fond memories of spending summer vacations at the beach with family and friends and we hope that you will enjoy the same memories in this house.

What makes this property unique

The multiple decks and screened porches add additional living space to this home and allow you to enjoy as much time as possible outside soaking up the beautiful sights and sounds of the beach. We love drinking our coffee in the front deck in the morning. The top deck is perfect for happy hour or sunbathing. Finally, the screened-in porch provides the ideal environment for having dinner or after dinner drinks.
