About this property
1 bedroom accommodation in Westwick
A magical eco, off-grid romantic getaway that is packed with reclaimed charm and full of character.. 3 steps to entrance.
All on the Ground Floor:
Open plan living space.
Living area: TV, DVD Player, Books, Games
Kitchen area: Gas Hob
Bedroom area: Double (4ft 6in) Bed. Electricity 12V by solar power, gas, bed linen and towels included. Initial fuel for wood burner included. External shower room with shower cubicle and compost toilet. Outdoor kitchen area with wood burner, firepit/barbecue and sink (for washing up). Front garden. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. It is so hard to know where to start when writing about Sun Bless because there is something really magical about both this lovely, converted bread van and the leafy site on which it sits. There are no sounds here, other than the birds and the echoes of woodland animals living nearby. And the site is completely private, although you may well see herons circling above or catch site of the muntjac deer playing in the forest. In fact, your only neighbours here will be the wildlife, making this enchanting location all the more special.
Nestling in a clearing in thousands of acres of private woodland, you can almost drive up to Sun Bless, making getting settled in very easy. Once here you will find the stresses and strains of everyday life just slip from your shoulders as you relax, unwind and totally recharge. The owner recognised how special this beautiful site is and as a result has poured a great deal of love into everything you will find here, hand crafting every last detail and using reclaimed items wherever possible to ensure that this is a truly eco break. From the Ercol chairs inside, which he has had re-covered, to the huge galvanised barrel which he has used to make the shower, you will find yourself discovering lots of really special details throughout the site. The sink unit for instance, was his great grandparents, and the bedside table has been made from a converted bread oven, very much in keeping with the former purpose of this rare retreat. A little more spacious than the average shepherd’s hut, this beauty offers a full-size double bed and a bespoke wood burner, made specially to fit just perfectly. The private shower and toilet unit are footsteps from the main dwelling and there is even an outside kitchen area to prepare what you are going to cook on the fire pit outside, and wash up. Reconnect, curl up, sunbathe or snuggle by the wood burner with a book. Or take a lovely walk around the site. But if you do tear yourself away you will find yourself within 15 minutes of both the stunning North Norfolk coastline and the beautiful Broads too. Just lovely!
