Fantastic Location

This flat near Marble Arch was great for our family of 9 people. The location is so convenient to bus stops, restaurants and sites. Building has a lift, which was very helpful. Flat was clean and well laid out for our family’s sleeping needs. Check in and out was simple and management was very responsive to our needs. I highly recommend for a London stay.

Not as Advertised – Misleading Listing and Disappointing Stay

We booked this apartment based on the listing, but it was not as advertised. The location is not good, the unit was not clean, smelled strongly of mildew, and had visible mold on the bathroom ceilings and walls. The listing implies AC, but there is only one small unit that could not cool the apartment, and it flooded the living room, leaving the floor soaked and unsafe. There were no basic amenities like laundry soap, dishwasher soap, or even a small welcome pack, forcing us to buy cleaning supplies and essentials ourselves. The photos only show the best corner of the room, hiding the mildew, mold, and the overall poor condition of the space. The showers were unusable due to the black mold, and the constant dampness made it uncomfortable to be inside for even a few hours.We could not stay more than one night due to health and safety concerns for our family and had to spend more money to urgently find a place that was safe and clean. Despite multiple emails and calls to the property manager, we have not received any response or willingness to discuss these serious issues. We are filing a complaint with VRBO to seek a refund for the remaining nights, as this property is simply not livable. Extremely disappointing experience, and we would not recommend this property to anyone looking for a clean and safe place to stay in London. Travelers deserve transparency, and this was a clear case of a misleading listing that caused unnecessary stress and expense during our trip.

Crappy apartment, stay clear

I don't know where to start... The day of our arrival, the agents left multiple aggressive voicemails telling us that our apartment would be cancelled in the next two hours as we hadn't paid. We actually HAD paid, they got it wrong on their end. No apology from their end, no follow-up. As we walked into the flat (3.30pm), the cleaner was still there, only half done "cleaning". As they left, we realised they had only vacuumed (and poorly as there was hair everywhere from the prev resident), no mopping. Used towels were left in the bathroom. The whole apartment was still dirty. During our visit to London, no one ever wanted to head back to the apartment! The kitchen was gross. The cutlery thrown in a holder under the kitchen sink! We ate breakfast out every day despite having a kitchen due to how fowl the kitchen was presented. No hooks/rails for towels in either bathroom. Both showers didn't drain meaning we couldn't shower for the final two days of our stay. Why didn't we complain? We didn't want to call the agents as 1/ they were very poor communicators and 2/ we didn't trust them to be in the flat without us there. Stay clear.

Mixed feelings, room for improvement

As I told the property management team, I have never had a more stressful check-in prior to a trip. 2 weeks prior I asked about final instructions and check-in. They said we’d get a link to complete payment and then they’d send instructions. This never happened. 4 days prior to departure I asked again, they said they’d escalate this and send me the link. Didnt. I called their office, no link sent. I called VRBO, who promptly suggested I message them for the best/fastest response. I had to provide VRBO with the correct phone number. On the day of our flight they called, and were going to cancel our reservation. I got their “info” email and sent my email to them. Which they received and sent me the link and we were able to finalize it. I will add VRBO customer service people and supervisors are absolutely worthless. They just read policy off scripts or said, go ahead and look for somewhere else. Once there, Thiago let met us in front of the building (their sign and entrance is easy to miss). He was super friendly and helpful with suggestions and walking us through the apartment, which was very clean, but is an old structure and some of that is evident. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for the 9 of us. It is on a loud street, but that’s every street in London. Very conveniently located with easy access to groceries and tube stations and so many restaurants. And once there, their team was very responsive.
