About this property
Quay View, Orford
Quay View is a stylish three-storey holiday home overlooking the beautiful Alde estuary and quay in the attractive fishing village of Orford. Interiors are spacious and ideal for six guests at any time of the year with a wood burner and doors to the terrace in the living/dining, a well-equipped kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one en-suite.
You're welcomed into the hallway with the carpeted stairs rising to the first floor, the kitchen and cloakrooms to your right and the living/dining room to the left.
KITCHEN
This light and airy kitchen is ideal for catering at home with built-in units housing a double electric eye level oven, a four-ring hob, a large upright fridge with freezer beneath, a dishwasher, a microwave, a washer/dryer, a toaster, and a kettle. There's also a little table and chairs for morning coffee!
LIVING/DINING ROOM
A lovely split level room with a wood burner for the winter months and double doors to the terraced for the summer sun. The dining area with six chairs around the table and a well stocked dresser sits on the upper area and the living area with a couple of velvet sofas positioned for the TV and fireplace, sit on the bottom half of the room.
CLOAKROOM
Off the hallway, simply with a WC and wash basin.
FIRST FLOOR
MAIN BEDROOM
Wake to the sun rising over the estuary with an uninterrupted riverside view from this large double room furnished with a king size bed, bedside units and ample space to unpack and settle in with a wardrobe.
DOUBLE BEDROOM
The double bed takes pride of place in this room with a bedside unit and storage unit with hanging and drawer space.
BATHROOM
Well positioned for guests in both bedrooms, this modern bathroom has a hand-held shower over the bath, a WC, a wash basin, heated towel rail (towels are provided) and natural light.
SECOND FLOOR
TWIN BEDROOM WITH EN-SUITE
Perched at the top of this house this attractive room with its feature brick wall and velux windows (fitted with blackout blinds) has sturdy twin beds between bedside drawers and a chest of drawers.
EN-SUITE SHOWER ROOM
Entered through a little door, this compact en-suite with porthole window is cleverly designed with a wash basin, and WC.
OUTSIDE
This semi-detached house has a wonderful terrace overlooking the water with a brick wall for privacy and a table and chairs so you can enjoy meals in the fresh air. (Neighbours have access but rarely use it so you're unlikely to be disturbed). There's parking for two cars on the driveway and Quay View is just a short stroll into town with plenty of eateries (including two pubs) to choose from, a well-stocked village shop and an award winning bakery.
Those who are familiar with the pretty village of Orford will know that the broadband is particularly patchy so you may want to download before coming on holday to avoid any frustration with spikes in the Wifi, particularly with the loading of TV content. TV signalling if watching Netflix would crash in the evening and worked best during the day.
Please note that this property is NOT PET-FRIENDLY. If you bring a dog you risk your stay being cancelled.
