Nestled among the hills of the natural amphitheatre formed by the Matese and Taburno Mountains, in the land of Pallagrello and situated at the point where the Calore and Volturno rivers converge to continue their journey towards the Tyrrhenian Sea, Cascina Scalera began as a holiday home for the Scalera family.
Built for moments of relaxation and for gathering with friends and family in a setting surrounded by nature.

The farmhouse is divided into two floors:
The ground floor consists of a living room with a kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bathroom.
The upper floor, an attic, features additional rooms sleeping 4.

The interior of the farmhouse is furnished with antique pieces that once belonged to the Scalera family, brought back to life through a shabby chic style.

The Four Seasons at the Farmhouse:

Winter
Winter at the farmhouse is a magical season, thanks to the contrast between the crisp outdoors—with the mountains exuding rarefied, pure air—and the warm interior, thanks to the cosy glow of the tuff fireplace in the living room. This fireplace is the centrepiece of gatherings with friends during the Christmas season and the perfect setting for romantic moments for couples.

Autumn
Autumn is harvest season, and the scent of grape must and the vineyards next to the farmhouse fills the air; just a few metres away, you can visit vineyards and wineries.

Spring
When the chestnut and walnut trees planted in the farmhouse garden begin to sprout their first leaves, the scent of jasmine and gardenias fills the porch, and dawn is accompanied by birdsong—it’s spring.
And with the mild warmth of the first days of spring, in the evening for dinner, you can use the outdoor barbecue and the wood-fired oven, and enjoy the star-lit night.

Summer
When, in the evening from the hammock beneath the olive tree, you see a thousand fireflies twinkling around the farmhouse, and the fig tree bears its fruit, it means summer has arrived.
It is the triumph of Neptune, the white statue standing at the edge of the pool, inviting you to cool off in its waters. The sun warms and illuminates the outdoor relaxation area, complete with a sun deck and hot tub, until sunset. All around, it is quiet, and the silence is broken only by the song of the cicadas.

Relaxation Cabin
In the relaxation cabin, you’ll find a Finnish sauna where you can unwind with friends; outside the sauna, there are two wooden loungers and a hot tub.
