About this property

Hob lane farm cottage is a stunning 2 bedroom self catering cottage on the edge of the Peak Park. Nestled down a country lane above High Bradfield and overlooking Ewden dale it has beautiful views and privacy. The cottage is part of a 400 year old barn and whilst in a traditional setting offers all the mod cons. It is beautifully furnished with lots of lamps, antique furniture, cosy sofas, a fire, underfloor heating and a well stocked kitchen. There are two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom can be arranged with either a super king bed or two single beds. The bathroom is on the same floor and has a bath, good shower and towel rail. Fresh towels are provided. The cottage was renovated 2 years ago. Returning to the UK having travelled the globe with the military we thought it'd be a good idea during the pandemic to buy a run down farm on the top of a moor with water pouring in through the kitchen ceiling. And well, we haven't looked back since :-)

We are a family of four with too many pets including horses, hens, dogs and cats with two children and a busy lifestyle. We love hob and it's definitely our forever home.

Hob is a beautiful place to be. The farm is nestled above High Bradfield and overlooks Wharncliffe woods and the Ewden valley.

We love being hosts and enjoy welcoming new people to our cottage. We're very relaxed but always on hand to help and provide recommendations.

Hob is a special place. It doesn't matter what is happening in the world it allows you to switch off, step off the planet and enjoy some you time. With walks straight from the door and nature in abundance guests tell us that it's enables them to switch off. We have lots of lovely pubs, sights to see and places to visit too which provides a good balance.

What makes this property unique

We love interior design and have worked hard to make our cottage a home from home. It is furnished as though we live in it ourselves and not in a bland and empty way. We've filled it with lamps, beautiful furniture, rugs and duck down bedding. It's the perfect place to wrap up and relax in.
