A very comfortable if compact cottage, in which we really enjoyed having a short break at the end of May. The kitchen and dining area are quite tight, but the garden and summerhouse are a real bonus. Cottage very nicely furnished and presented and much to be recommended. Lovely wildlife garden next door with very friendly neighbour!
Enjoyed staying here. House was clean and well-equipped. Well located for stunning walks in the Peak District and on train line.

Such a wonderful place to stay! Peaceful, quiet, gorgeous location. Easily drivable to great hiking and cute towns. Absolutely zero issues and would rent here again the next time I'm in the area
Very sweet little cottage in a good location and very well presented. Lovely garden & summerhouse, a little tight in the kitchen and upstairs shower but the upside forgives that. Nice neighbours too, would stay there again
This cottage has many features to make it a cozy, comfortable, yet convenient place to stay. Our children enjoyed the spiral staircase, hidden closet spaces, and garden sitting room :) most features were on the small side but perfect for a holiday getaway to remember!
Quirky little cottage. Lovely views, very comfortable. Would have liked more information about the local area before the day before arrival.
Enclosed garden. Perfect for our small dog.
The cottage is cosy with everything you could need. Bedrooms were lovely with lots of storage space. Loved the log fire and garden with views over the trees. Really great to be able to let the dogs out. Summerhouse was fantastic although we didn’t get much use of it as quite cold. Really nice area with local walks.
All round excellent stay in the property. 2 couples and a small dachshund, thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this accommodation, check in was easy, communication was quick and the property is even better than the pictures suggest. The bathrooms and bedrooms in particular are done to a very high standard. This is also perfectly placed for exploring this area of the Peak District
The property is beautifully presented and warm. It is tiny and it is on a main road, the noise from which woke us. We enjoyed the summer house on a couple of sunny afternoons. Great location.
Visiting for a wedding we had a lovely time. Cottage is a gem in a stunning location. So nice to sit at the bottom of the garden and catch the sun into the evening. Looking forward already to another visit when possible. Dog friendly.
Very nice homely cottage set in a lovely village.
Recently renovated to high standard - loved the sky package and log burner. Very comfy bed and nice back garden for the dog to use.
Would definitely stay again and recommend this cottage to anyone looking for peaceful and comfortable break in the Hope valley.
9 days wasn’t long enough! Perfectly placed for a walking holiday, and for visiting the nearby attractions
Clean and comfortable, great garden with a summerhouse, a very welcoming place to return to each evening. We will definitely be returning
Lovely property with a totally secure garden, perfect for our Spaniel. Refurbished to a high standard, the living space and kitchen was smaller than I expected and it’s worth noting that there is not a microwave. The dog hamper was a lovely touch. Lots of road parking and a great location for exploring the Peaks.
The house was lovely as was the home manager, the only little issue we had was with the next door neighbour who didn’t appreciate us parking our car outside the property, all though we had been told by the house manager this was perfectly acceptable.
Would definitely recommend to others and book again..
Many thanks.
Enjoyed our stay in the cottage very clean, but did feel quite crammed with 4 adults, kitchen was very very small and really only able to fit one person in at time.
Bedrooms and bathrooms very nice but downstairs smaller than we thought.
We stayed here while visiting my son who is a student at Sheffield university. The cottage is lovely and refurbished to a very high standard. Perfectly located for the beautiful Peak District. Buses to Sheffield hourly - bus stop very close to cottage. Dogs very welcomed with bowls, bed, towel provided.
Lovely garden with beautiful views
I highly recommend. We will visit again.
We totally fell in love with the cottage not huge but had everything you needed, my son enjoyed being chief fire starter and winnie our pup totally made herself at home infront of it. Fabulous bathroom's the house looks recently renovated to a hire standard. Close to Bakewell and other places of inrerest we had a great walk up near the starion .
