About this property

Jungle Adventure Family Sunsets Roomy Breezy Comfy OceanView Pool Toucans Macaws

Set in the jungle, above the village and beautiful beach of Matapalo, near pristine Playa Linda and various waterfalls, on the Pacific Coast, this house invites you to have a true Costa Rican experience! Even the 4X4 road to the house is fun! There is an amazing 180 degree view of coastline as well as lush rainforest mountains all around. Enjoy the local sightings of toucans, parrots, soaring hawks, several kinds of monkeys, coatis, blue morpho butterflies and many other wildlife visitors (yes, sloths!). Enjoy your own private home “away from it all”while still being close to lots of activities and adventures. Have an action-packed vacation or just chill by the pool and read.
The house has an open, comfortable feeling with tile floors and beautiful wood ceilings and doors. The kitchen, dining room and living room all open to each other and the outdoors. Ceiling fans throughout the house keep the cooler mountain air moving. Downstairs there is a master bedroom suite with a king bed, full bath, and outdoor jungle shower. A full bathroom in living room. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and full bathand sweeping views from Manuel Antonio to OSA.
This is a family home that we created back in 2003 and we love to share this beautiful gem with others who might enjoy it. We love the spacious feel of the house and how it flows with indoor and outdoor living spaces all inviting more connection with nature. We love all of the large windows in the bedrooms and bathrooms that look out to the ocean. We are proud to have used 100% Costa Rican material whenever possible in the building of this home and we love that the home has a distinctly Costa Rican feel. We love the large, deep pool and we take care of it ourselves, using minimal chemicals and chlorine and weekly adding fresh spring water. Of course we also enjoy drinking the delicious water that comes directly from the mountain spring to the house.
We take care to make sure you have everything you need. In addition, there is a local property manager that will greet you upon arrival and will be available to help you during your stay, if needed. You will find a well-equipped kitchen with large fridge with ice maker and filtered cold water. Beautiful showers with hot water and good water pressure/ shower heads. Large bedrooms with comfortable beds with quality mattresses and bedding. (100% cotton sheets and towels). Extra pillows.
