It’s also wonderful to know the fenced backyard made it easy for the kids and your dog to play safely — that’s exactly why we love it too! Regarding the note about water for future guests. The cottage is on safe, municipal-tested well water that’s checked daily, so it is absolutely fine for drinking. For those who prefer to bring their own, we also provide a cooler that fits a 5-gallon jug. This is included in our guest instructions to all guests and was also shared in your inbox before arrival. We truly appreciate your feedback and are so glad you had a great stay overall. We’d be delighted to welcome you back anytime!

Thank you for your feedback—I’m really glad you found the cottage spacious and well-equipped. I’m sorry to hear about the issue with the smell outdoors. The sewage system is inspected yearly by both the municipality and Waterloo Biofilter, and it’s operating properly. It’s possible the odour came from a neighbouring septic pump-out or the nearby park, which can happen occasionally in the area. We appreciate you bringing it to our attention and hope to welcome you back again.
