You will love The Lochen House because of location and Yes we are pet friendly! We are close to numerous activities and great restaurants, located on 16 acre Private Lake with a boat for you to use, right off of US 31, just 1/2 mile from the traffic light in Interlochen. We have a dock with a small boat for you to use along with a Screened in Gazebo down by the lake. Inside Gas Fired Fire Place

Interlochen Arts Academy, 5 minutes away!

#1 Location, located right off of US 31 easy on and off highway, 5 minutes to the World renowned Interlochen Arts Academy, 14 miles to Traverse City, 26 miles to the Sleeping Bears Dunes National Park, 17 miles to Crystal Mountain, 3 miles to the Blue Bridge Events Center, 1/2 mile to Interlochen Golf course, 30 miles to The Homestead. And is located just 1/2 mile from the traffic light in Interlochen.

#2 Located on a privately owned lake, with a row boat for your use!

#3 A Gazebo with screens down by the lake to hang out at.

#4 The unit is Air conditioned for those warm summer days.

#5 The deck is great since it allows you to enjoy the best days of summer outside and grill to your heart's delight with the GRILL found there!

Here are 3 things to consider before renting.

#1 No Parties are permitted in our house or property at all times during your stay.

#2 Our house is nice but its not perfect for all people, even though we have put lots of effort into this place there are always small what seem like trivial issues to most that really upset others such as, there is no bathtub we have a stand up shower, there is no dishwasher, located right off of US 31, potenial for road noise, one step up to enter property.

#3 We ask all our guests to respect the neighbors and to not be loud or yell or play loud music inside and outside the building at all times during their stay. We expect our Guests to be quiet after 11:00PM. So if you intend to behave like a party animal, our place is not for you but if you intend to behave like a resident, you should love your stay.
Now that this is clear, let's get to the description of the place!

The Lochen House is located in Interlochen right off US 31 on Lost Lake a 16 acre lake, the center point of activities in the Traverse region. We can accommodate 6 GUESTS.

The Lochen House features a kitchen that is fully equipped with all the essentials such as microwave, pots & pans, coffee maker,toaster, blender, slow cooker and your basic kitchen items to cook a nice meal.
This is a 2 bedroom unit with a queen size bed's, the living room has a queen size sleeper sofa, 50” Smart TV, Netflix, also has Ultra fast 5G WIFI . The bathroom has a stand up shower, hair dryer, iron & board and a washer & dryer to take care of your laundry needs.
This house has a private deck and also has a patio table / chairs & outside grill so that you can truly enjoy those long summer days.

Great place!

The house was very clean. The sauna and hot tub were great, the dome is cool! Literally hanging out in the swamp/pomd! The hosts have made great use of every inch of this space, a cool find.

Perfect location for a peaceful weekend

We celebrated a 50th birthday at this perfect property that met our need for relaxation yet close to activities and dining. The Lochen House provided everything needed and then some with a hot tub, fireplace and the coolest igloo over the water. Thank you for being a fabulous host, Jeff!

Cute spot

Close to traverse city, nice secluded pet friendly home perfect for 2-4 guests. Very clean and had everything we needed! It was quiet and such a nice place to get away too

Great place to stay!

Jeff is a fantastic host! I rented out this property an a couple of his others close by for family and friends and it was so easy and fun being so close! Having a big yard on the water was so much fun and everything is very well maintained.

Perfect quiet getaway, close to trails, water and TC

This is a perfect spot for a couple or small family - we enjoyed having the private dock and rowboat, and the THREE separate deck sitting areas! Jeff was a great host and left a lot of helpful information for us when we arrived. A/C and WiFi worked great. Great location, close to lakes and trails and only 15min drive into TC.

The location was perfect for us. Very private, yet close to everything we needed. Everything was very nicely kept. VERY clean. The traffic on US 31 did not bother us one bit. Great communication and quick responses to my questions.

Much needed vacation

My fiancé and I haven’t been on a vacation in over a year because I broke my wrist and ankle last May so there went last year. When he asked me what I wanted to do, I said I just want to relax. I told him what I would like, and everything that I wanted was part of the amenities. It was perfect. It was everything that I wanted it to be. We were even able to take both of our German Shepherds and they loved it as well. My fiancé was able to fish and caught some and decompress too. Check in instructions were easy and perfect. Great host and great property. We will definitely stay there again if we get up that way again and it’s available.

Great Rental!

Great rental with A+ owner communication. Grocery and restaurants were close and easy to get access. Perfect for groups of four! The only downfalls I noticed were the proximity to US31 (literally 30 feet), and only the main living room had AC. With bedroom doors shut at night, the rooms get VERY hot. The pros far outweighed the cons, no complaints!

Beautiful

We really enjoyed our stay. We were in the area because our daughter-in-law was having a baby. We enjoyed being able to fish! Took the boat out also. We loved that we could have our dogs with us. ABSOLUTELY- NO PROBLEMS The coffee pot was an issue & it was immediately handled & they had a new one for us in no time. We will go back this summer.

Pleasant little cabin for 60th birthday trip

This cabin offered everything we needed, and was close to Traverse City, three casinos, and Lake Michigan. The original listing showed that it had a hot tub, but when I questioned Jeff about it not being in the pictures, he stated that it was a listing error. He offered another available cabin for our first four nights, but I declined since it would be inconvenient to move for the last night. I would highly recommend this cabin for 2 - 4 people, as it is small.

Wonderful house

We had one night short trip drop my daughter to summer camp. House is clean and nice. My daughter left her phone charger in the room. Thanks Jeff (host) helped picked up and drop to her summer camp. He is so nice and.helpful. If we have chance come again, we will book this house for sure. Highly recommend.

Great Location to TC, Cozy Home

We were new to the Interlochen area, as we normally stay farther north, but we loved the convenience of the location to other areas in NoMi. I highly recommend Interlochen State Park, especially if you're traveling with your pups. The home itself was well laid out and SO warm and cozy. We stayed over Christmas and often didn't even need the heater on, which was nice. The only things I'd add that aren't in the listing is if you're planning on cooking, bring exactly what you need, as there isn't a ton in the kitchen, which isn't a huge deal. I'll also note there's an odd, rather run-down shack next to the property that seems to have people coming and going at all hours. It certainly didn't impact our stay, but it's not pictured and was a little eerie.

Incredible property

The listing does not do the property justice. Had an incredible time. The lake and dock area are beautiful. The smokeless fire ring and hot tub were great for unwinding. Close to everything you need. Will be back!

Great Visit

One of the best VRBOs my family has stayed at. Comfortable beds, good shower, very nice clean hot tub and the igloo was a very cool feature. Experienced weather from 82 to 38 during our weekend and were able to stay both cool and warm and comfortable. Nice private drive. Excellent fishing and the manager came to pump out the boat when it rained without me even having to ask. Enjoyed the sack toss left for us and a nice fire. Nice yard for my dog as well. Great stay!

As far as hobbies go I am into boating, snowmobiling and cars! Also I tend to like the arts as you can tell by the designs of the places. As far as places I like to travel to I tend to sway to the West just love it out there.
