Exceeded Expectations

We absolutely loved staying at Villa Tamar! The photos are great, but they do not do it justice. The villa was spacious and included everything we needed. The pool was wonderful (a little chilly when we visited, but we anticipated that). The view from the back window or from the back garden was breathtaking. Our host was very responsive and kind. We had some travel challenges and he was actually able to accommodate us staying a few extra hours to try to soak it all in. We would highly recommend this place, and we would love to come back soon.

Seafront Paradise

The perfect centralized location to cover as much of the country as possible. We spent two weeks and saw what we intended to see and also took a few days off from driving and played locally. There is so much to do within a ten mile radius of this home and much of it is just a short hike. Highlights: The Owner is Fantastic. Period. The home is set up like a Rockwell painting. The drinking water is great. It creates the perfect feelings for adventure every time you realize where you are. The quiet serenity of the pool with the crashing of the waves right at your gate is indescribable. A brief 5 minute hike on the trail along the cliffs gets you to one of the sites that people from all over the world come to Portugal to see and that's Azenhas Do Mar. You'll want to spend a day hiking through and around it. The only downside was that there was no washer or dryer but when you get there, it's like, where would you put it? The local laundry mat is a ten minute hike (2 minute drive) to the nearest town of Praia Das Macas which is also the nearest Grocery store which also lets you communicate with the local folks whom you'll find are the best. The people are what make it so great. You won't regret staying here. We'll definitely be back Duarte
