Very well equipped and comfortable home in a quiet area. Good pool with sea views and not overlooked.Convenient for a walk to the village beach and restaurants or for wider exploration of the many sights.Margarida was always available for contact, responded straight away and could not have been more helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Apple Beach Stay

Strikingly themed property, with large, deep pool and sea views. Really near to beach and many restaurants in a quiet village catering heavily to the Lisbon weekend breaks, so weekends a lot busier. Many sites just a short drive away and only 45 minutes from the capital.

Great location, plenty of space for our family if 6 and well stocked kitchen. Beautiful jasmine and flowers out front. We really enjoyed our time there. The Vrbo app is not easy to navigate or communicate thru. The house itself and furniture are dated, ie: rust, stains and some mildew-not a problem for our family but important to be aware of. Be sure to ask that the hot water be checked prior to check in, and that the freezer does not have frost build up.

Issues

Sadly pervasive smell of damp and mould. Some furnishings showing signs of mould. Vegetation on building out of control both front and back so much so that you are unwilling to leave windows open for fear of birds and insects entering rooms. Pool is in need of repair to areas that have missing tiles. Rooms are overly cluttered and feel that they should be de-personalised for a holiday let. The website photos need to be updated.

I am sorry but our stay was not pleasant. To list a few things the house was damp and smelled like it had been closed up for awhile. Construction woke us almost every morning. No hot water. Pool water was beautiful but the deck was not clean at all. We actually left a day early to stay in a hotel to take a warm shower before we left Portugal. Tea kettle did not work at all and coffee pot leaks water when brewing. If all these things were addressed it would be ok.

Hi Debby Yes the house is some times empty for a while and as it is by the sea ,it can be damp and have a smell when you arrive but after a while the smell disappears,and there is electrical heating in every room The noise of construction in the area ,is something I cannot control. Of course ,there was hot water , you should have contacted me, I would have told you to change the gaz bottle, ,there is always a spare one in the small house near the swimmingpool. There is no deck near the swimmingpool just artificial grass... I didn't know the teapot was not working if you contacted me I would have sent you a new one. There are 3 different coffee machines a Nespresso ,one that uses coffee in grain and an ancient electrical one ,if one was leaking you could have used another one. I think your comment is not fair ,the guests who were there before you did classified the house 5 stars.

Our experience was not good here and out of 15 houses we stayed in over a 3 month trip the only one we had complaints about. The house had been closed up for awhile prior to our arrival and smelled very musty. The upstairs hall bath had a terrible odor that we couldn't get rid of even after opening all the windows to air it out. The towels were very old and stained and not at all what you would normally use at a guest house. The outdoor cushions all had bird droppings on them. The hairdryer was one with the brush attachment and had old hair in it. We reached out to VRBO about everything and their recommendation was to put a full complaint in writing to the owner which we did. We itemized everything and her response was for us to vacate the house immediately and that she would refund our money. We found a different place to stay and moved out. We have received a partial reimbursement for our stay. All in all, not a good experience .

Todo bien, menos la piscina

La casa es tal y como aparece en el anuncio. El piso de abajo con cocina, salon comedor y aseo. La parte de arriba, 3 habitaciones dobles y dos baños. Fuera no tiene mucho sitio para estar. La mesas, dos hamacas y poco mas. Hasta ahi, sin problemas, todo como esperábamos. El problema, y no fue pequeño, es que cuando llegamos la piscina estaba verde. Nos dijeron que vendrian de la empresa de mantenimiento y estaría lista en 24 horas. A pesar de los esfuerzos de la empresa, la piscina no estuvo para bañarse hasta el sexto dia, cuando habíamos ido para ocho. Imperdonable, cuando además nos dicen que habia sido por no haber hecho el mantenimiento.

Wunderbare Tage am Atlantik

Wir haben uns in dem Ferienhaus sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist mit wirklich allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Pool hat alle begeistert. Auch die Lage ist toll. Nicht weit ist ein Markt mit frischen Lebensmitteln: Fisch, Gemüse, Obst, Käse und Brot. Der Strand ist nicht weit und wirklich wunderbar. Super auch die Haltestelle für die alte Straßenbahn nach Sintra, die wir genutzt haben. Unbedingte Empfehlung.
