The property consists of 1.050 m2 gardens, with a swimming pool (7x4m) a barbecue area, very sheltered sunny location, various terraces including a roof terrace with fantastic views of Sintra hills.
The villa (150 m2) consists of 4 bedrooms - 1 en suite; and a children’s bedroom that sleeps 3. A large kitchen with breakfast area, a living room with dining room area, has a separate laundry room.
Secure parking on the drive with space for 3 cars.
It is located only 5 minutes from the local village of Colares, where you find coffee shops restaurants and food stores. Only few minutes away you have famous beaches like Praia das Maçãs, Praia Grande and Praia da Adraga. Nature lovers can enjoy long walks in the area.
These villages are situated amongst pleasant woods in the heart of Sintra Cascais Natural Park, surrounded by a natural reserve park. It borders the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sintra and provides easy access to gorgeous walks in forest and the coastal areas.
Colares is situated on the southwest side of Sintra on the Atlantic coast.
The village of Colares is absolutely delightful and has long been a very popular summer resort.
Colares is a wine region (DOC), the ramisco vines are some of the oldest in Portugal, known for its deep colour, full bodied red wines that are high in astringent tannins and can be tasted at the Adega Regional in a very beautiful building in the village.
The houses and imposing farms all around Colares affirm this wonderful relation with wine and its production.
Colares has mild winters, an ideal summer temperature which never gets too hot, the autumn is ideal too, is like a second spring.
One of the main attractions is the tramcar with a lovely journey that starts in Sintra (in Estefânia, next to the Sintra’s modern art museum), has a stop in Colares and ends in Maçãs Beach.
Praia das Maças “Apples Beach”
The beach is about 250m wide, surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants, in this village there’s a daily market place for fruit and vegetables, also a fish market
Next to the beach there is a swimming pool with ocean’s water, a children’s park and space for picnics.
The beach has also good facilities for sport fishing, on both sides of the sandy area.
Another closest village is Almoçageme at 4km; here you find a rustic village with all of the typical narrowed streets, here you find coffee shops restaurants and food stores. Every Thursday morning there’s a farmer’s market, Saturday and Sunday all day.
The village is spread up the hill from the Atlantic Ocean. Adraga beach, was ranked as one of the 20 perfect European beaches’ by the Sunday Times.
