My husband, Nigel, and I run Dominey’s Yard and love living in such a pretty part of Dorset. “Having spent 10 years owning a large holiday cottage business in Cornwall, we have a wealth of experience and knowledge in providing a perfect holiday setting for guests to relax, feel at home and make wonderful memories. We live in the grounds of Dominey’s Yard and are on hand, but not intrusive, for any advice on places to visit and things to do or just a chat. We are more than happy to arrange anything from our own Land rover pickup service for tired walkers to delicious home-made cakes and bakes to enjoy during your stay – our ethos is: “Just ask and if we can we will!”
When we are not working in the gardens or cleaning the cottages, Nigel can be found on the golf course and I can be found baking cakes or out walking in the stunning countryside.

Why they chose this property

Dorset is such a beautiful county to explore. With pretty historic towns and villages to the stunning Jurassic coast line with fishing harbours, golden sands and amazing coastal walks.
Our village is a quintessential English village dotted with pretty thatched cottages and country lanes. You will find Dominey's Yard down a quiet country lane and there is even a public footpath leading straight from our grounds meaning you can leave the car and explore the local countryside on foot.

What makes this property unique

We have the option of booking all 4 cottages for your stay, sleeping 18 guests in total.
They are called Poacher's, Gamekeeper's, Woodcutter's and Gardener's Cottages. Perfect for friends and families to be together but have your own space too.
When you stay with us you'll have full use of our large outdoor heated pool. It is open from 8am-8pm May to September. The pool is surrounded by beautiful gardens which you are also welcome to explore. Find a sunny spot to read a book or have a little snooze in the hammock. If you fancy a little light refreshment then pop through the secret garden gate into our village pub garden. What could be better!
