Lastoetxe is located on the site of the former ANDIKOETXE FARMHOUSE in Meñaka. It is a GREEN BUILDING with a wooden frame and straw walls. You won’t find a single brick in Lastoetxe. It’s made of adobe, straw, and a lot of hard work, care, and love. This is how we wanted to build Lastoetxe so that it aligns with our criteria for sustainable tourism—which encompasses not only the construction itself but also the way we interact with visitors and tourists. We don’t want our approach to be intrusive, but we strive to introduce them to our traditions, culture, and other experiences they can enjoy in our surroundings—all of which contribute to sustainable tourism.
