Welcome to your home away from home. This listing in central Tamarindo is a spacious and comfortable 2 bedroom/ 2 bath house with all new furnishings, private patio, shared pool, fully equipped kitchen, 2 king beds and a bunk bed for the family, AC, Cable TV and wifi internet. Both bedrooms have king size brand new pillow-top beds with high end linens and pillows, the second bedroom has an additional hand-crafted bunk bed to sleep 6 total. The living room has a new large sectional couch and club chair, dining table, fully equipped kitchen with brand new refrigerator and gas stove, coffee maker, blender, microwave, toaster oven, knives set etc. There is plenty of closet space in each bedroom. Casa Ela is very peaceful and private complex with only 4 homes that share a beautiful common area and pool. The house is the perfect space for a peaceful and relaxing vacation, great for couples and small families. The condo is close enough to downtown Tamarindo and the beach (just a 10 minute walk) that you do not need a vehicle. Renting electric golf carts, dune buggies, or bicycles is a fun activity and is a great way to ride around town and explore the area. The owner lives here full time and can help make arrangements for transportation, tours, car rentals, etc...and speaks fluent English and Spanish.

Jennifer really is a ‘Super Host’. This was our second year staying at Casa Ela. The home is fully stocked with everything one needs. She provides drinking water jugs, all the toilet paper and paper towels that one needs plus a fully stocked kitchen. If we ever needed anything, Jennifer made sure that one of her staff took care of it. The grounds and pool are immaculate and the home is walking distance to Tamarindo. Highly, highly recommended.

We had a great stay with our young family. The beds were extremely comfortable, the accommodation was spacious and clean. Easy for little kids to move around. We loved this house. Our friends booked the neighboring property (same host) and we shared a pool with the other two houses, so it worked out perfectly. Jennifer and everyone who worked with her was especially friendly, kind, and helpful. I loved this house specifically because it had a well stocked kitchen for cooking and had a gate to keep little ones from having access to the pool. The house was spotless and the couch inside and on the patio were so comfortable!!

Relaxing get away

Excellent place to stay! The home is exactly as shown and described. The host provided MANY extras which was unexpected but totally appreciated. A few blocks to the main part of town for restaurants, groceries and shopping but far enough that the site is quiet. Pool area was great. Lovely area to sit outside with a coffee. We all felt safe and secure on the property and there is a safe in one of the bedrooms (there is also a police station a block away!). We highly recommend this home.

Great place to stay while enjoying the beach town of Tamarindo!

We will definitely stay here again. There are 4 separate units on the property which gives you privacy and quite surroundings. The property is well maintained with an abundance of trees and a has a great swimming pool for relaxation and soaking up the sun. Our unit was recently upgraded and provided a clean and spacious area with a private patio. The beach, shops and dining facilities are a short walk away from the property. We looked forward to every morning listening to the birds and an occasional wakeup call from the howler monkeys. You will greatly enjoy your stay here.

Wow! Classy and comfy home minutes from everything.

Upon entering this house, it is clear that great love and effort was put into renovating it into a warm, welcoming, and comfortable home. The living space in the home is ample and spacious; there is plenty of elbow room for all of your family. The two king beds and two twin beds are new and comfy. The beautiful oversized sofa could even sleep 2 more if needed. Don't feel like eating out? Great! In the amply stocked kitchen you can cook up a nice meal from with groceries you bought at the store a 10 minute walk away. Take an afternoon nap on the covered patio on the new patio lounger. The common area gardens are well manicured and offer an oasis like feel. The pool is pristine and just the right size to keep you cool. The gated wall around the complex adds privacy and security. And the complex only holds 4 houses total. No busy crowds here. The house is just on the edge of town to add another layer of privacy, but is still walking accessible to everything you'd need. 3-5 minutes to restaurants, eateries, and bars; 10 minutes to beach; 15-20 minute walk to everything else in Tamarindo. Highly recommend. I will check here first when I return to Tamarindo.

A home away from home feeling with all the amenities plus a dedicated, tireless, friendly host

Jennifer, the manager of Casa Ela in Tamarindo Costa Rica, is bar none the greatest manager you can find. She will spare nothing in helping you to explore the adventures you're looking for, make the connections for them, and then always follows up to see how it all went. The property we stayed at, Casa Ela, had all her touches. From having multiple plush towels provided, to laundry within the home to wash them and your belongings, to including basic spices AND ziplock bags and saran wrap! How many times have you traveled and needed just a bit of time to find the "basics...?" To have them already there just does all the more to insure your long sought after perfect vacation is off to a good start, saving your energy for the enjoyment of your adventures, not just shopping for those "basics." Thanks, Jennifer! Also, make sure to go to La Bodega on road to Casa Ela. Great food and prices! Jennifer also has a great guide connection for bike tours, Wendy. And Wendy knows a terrific taxi driver, Duilio. There is a gym close to Casa Rla, Tamarindo Gym that has a variety of equipment and weights. Go early when it’s cool! The ocean is a great temperature for swimming! Water was murky for snorkeling when we were there, but don’t let that stop you! Bring comfortable walking or hiking shoes. Plenty to see! Pura Vida!

Tamarindo's Casa Ela #1

I would highly recommend staying at this home. We felt safe and nice to be away from the crowds in Tamarindo. We did have a rental car which made it convenient to shop and sightsee. TV, Internet and AC worked great. Pool was clean. House in good condition and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans, etc. Dish soap, sponge, laundry detergent, paper towels and toilet paper were provided. A great French bakery, Utopia, within 5 minute walk. Also, next to the bakery was a pizza place, La Esquina that I would highly recommend. Jennifer arranged an all day tour for us to go to Canyon De La Viega. We did ziplining, horseback riding, rappelling, white water rafting and the famous mud bath. Highly recommend. The estuary tour was worth it. We didn't see any crocodiles but did walk inland and take some pictures of howler monkeys. Son and grandson enjoyed surfing at Playa Grande. Parking is available at Playa Grande (2,000 colones)and the best tacos at Taco Star which is right on the beach. Beautiful sandy beaches and unusual seashells at Playa Grande. Plenty of souvenir shops in Tamarindo. Parking is sometimes a problem. Takes awhile to get use to some of the dirt roads. If you go slow and avoid the potholes, no problem. Overall, we had a great time and Jennifer had great recommendations for restaurants and tours.

Exactly what we wanted

My wife and I just finished a 1 month stay (February 10 - March 10 2018) in Casa Ela #1 and we were very pleased with the home. It was just as advertised and then some. The kitchen (I cook a lot) was well provisioned with that's needed. The A/C worked great as well as all other appliances. The TV is a smart TV so if you have Netflix you can access that. We barbecued outdoors on the patio many times and enjoyed our time at the pool every afternoon when returning from the beach. The location is ideal as its just about a 12 minute walk to the beach and the town center. Tamarindo is a ideal choice as it has so much to offer and the homes location puts you close enough to be able to walk to everything, beach, shopping and dining. The Thursday night market is 3 minutes away while the Saturday market is a 12 minute walk and there are 2 grocery stores within a 10 minute walk. Many great restaurants are available within walking distance and our favorite, Dragonfly, is a 5 minute walk and there is a great pizza restaurant, La Esquina, about a 3 minute walk away. Those looking for a gym have one right where the Thursday market is held so its about a 3 minute walk. While a car may be nice to have if you don't mind walking a car is not required, everything is that close. The other great feature of the house is that the agent, Jennifer, lives in 1 of the 4 houses that share the common grounds. She is most accommodating and helpful with suggestions or if in the unlikely event you have an issue. The property is gated and has a night time guard although we always felt extremely safe there or walking anywhere in the evening. We have no reservations highly recommending this property except for the fact we don't want competition as we will be returning every year.

Casa Ela #1 - Wonderful Stay

My wife & I spent a week here for our 1st visit to Cost Rica for our 32nd wedding anniversary. It was the perfect place to stay with a short walk to town. It was very nice, clean & comfortable. We used the kitchen & outdoor BBQ grill for a few meals when we wanted a little down time, otherwise we wanted to experience Tamarindo. The place was very comfortable and secure with security guards on site during evening hours. Honestly we never felt the need for them as all the locals and foreigners we met were quite nice. a lot of gift shops in town featuring lots of very nice wood carving & art indicative of the local area. Some locals would wander the beaches selling hand made goods, but were all very polite, if you say your not interested they will quietly & politely leave. Jennifer suggested grabbing golf cart vs a car rental which we did that simplified the slightly farther local trips. Tamarindo is a small community and sometimes parking can take a little searching. The golf cart made it much easier to navigate around town when it was busier. We wanted to eat foods that were more typical of the local Cost Rican families, Jennifer suggested trying one of the local cafes (called Sodas) which we did, we ate at Soda Buen Comer which was just across the street from Witches Rock Surf Camp. We also did a private ATV tour through the local jungle and occasionally popping out on an isolated beach with volcano rock and jagged islands shooting up from the sea. We also went deep see fishing which was beautiful in itself being able to look back to the majestic mainland from the ocean. My wife and I both caught some Mahi-Mahi that we took to another local restaurant called Nogui's that cooked what we caught. They served it to us 4 different ways with side dishes and salad. We had it Blackened, Garlic, Grilled & Floured. It was an incredible experience. Overall our stay with Jennifer was without a doubt the best vacation we've ever taken. Thank you Jennifer!

Superbe séjour pour notre petite famille !

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits à la propriété de Jennifer à notre arrivée au Costa Rica. Le transport depuis l’aéroport de Liberia s’est très bien déroulé et nous étions ravis de découvrir la propriété pour nous déposer les premiers jours de notre périple. L’endroit était parfait pour notre famille, nous avions amplement d’espace pour cinq, la salle de séjour et l’espace extérieur étaient magnifiques. La piscine a fait le plus grand bonheur de tous au retour de la plage et dans les moments un peu plus pluvieux, avec en prime une famille de singes hurleurs qui venait nous rendre visite ! L’emplacement est à environ 10-15 min de marche du centre-ville, ce qui nous convenait très bien car plus tranquille, le seul bémol lors du transport à pied était que nous devions longer une route où les véhicules circulaient rapidement, mais nous pouvions marcher dans l’herbe un peu plus loin. Cela ne nous empêcherait pas d’y retourner demain matin et de recommander l’endroit à 100% !!!

We enjoyed our stay at Cala Ela, everything was as advertised.

We loved Casa Ela, everything was excellent. The accommodations were great and the grounds and pool were well maintained. Jennifer and her family were awesome and provided us with assistance and information whenever we needed anything. It is a 15 minute walk to the beach and back up the molasses road, if you go to town several times a day I would recommend a golf cart or rent a vehicle. We will recommend Casa Ela to anyone thanks for the great stay at your Condo.

The House was pefect, first time in Tamarindo or Costa Rica house was perfect and Jennifer was great and above and beyond in service. air in every-rm and Location was great just off the main strip and 5 min walk to beach. if you go rent a cart best way to get around town. ask Jennifer and she will help with booking needs. ever back that way we will definitely look Jennifer up for help

Beautiful house, clean, bright and functional. We had a dream week: the beds are very comfortable, the terrace is beautiful and pleasant, the pool too! 2 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 6 people. A little away from the noise of Tamarindo, which was pleasant, without being too far from the centre. In less than 10 minutes by foot we were at the beach. We were thinking of renting a golf cart to get around but finally we did everything on foot. Jennifer is on hand for any questions, always listening and giving advice or in case of problems. We had a wonderful 12 day stay at Casa Ela. Our house could comfortably host up to six guests. Beds and linen were great, too. the whole place is lovely in particular the porch and the pool. management and personnel very helpful, kind and efficient Walking distance to town around 15 min, just right to get you some exercise! we will be happy to return to Casa Ela in the near future.
