Perfect spot with a great host.

We were greeted by Michael with a smile and he helped us with our luggage when we arrived and when we left. The apartment was wonderful and well appointed. Comfortable bed, coffee machine, tea, and extras we didn’t expect, but was very nice to have. We would stay here again!!

Great stay!!

Very clean, nice cold AC, nice tea and coffee selection. I broke my ankle in December, and the host was so kind to help get my bag up the steps. The host was very accommodating, letting me check in early after my very long, overnight flight. 10/10

Location, location, location!

The apartment was a comfortable size with all the commodities needed for the stay. It's location was perfect. All of our tours were within 15 minutes walking time or less. There were plenty of restaurants near-by as well as small supermarkets. The owner was always accessible and the check in and check out went smoothly. Truly a great place to stay.

Fantastic flat right in the center of the historic district

My family of four, including kids 9 and 11, stayed here for a week and it was perfect. It's steps away from the market of the Porcellino, and a three minute walk from the Ponte Vecchio to the south, the Piazza della Repubblica to the north, and the Palazzo Vecchio to the east. It could not be more conveniently located for all the wonderful things the city has to offer. The flat was immaculately clean, and it was QUIET! There is an Irish pub blasting music across from the entrance to the alley where the flat is located, and we were worried it would be too noisy, but we never heard a thing, either from neighbors or from the street. Also, the two AC units worked well and kept the place nice and cool, even when it was over 100 degrees F outside. The flat itself is simple and homey, but not fancy. The two windows open onto an air shaft in the center of the building, so there's no view. But as a staging pad for rambling around Firenze, it's perfect. The host had excellent communication and was very solicitous, even when we made things difficult by changing our arrival time repeatedly. Michaele, the on site guy, met us at the flat and let us in, and even carried our luggage up the stairs for us. He came back later to give us a larger bialetti for coffee and to drop off toilet paper and garbage bags. We felt very well cared for. Now, the stairs...they're tall and steep. We live in DC and these are as steep as the famous Exorcist steps. There are 28 steps to climb to the flat, so it's effectively a third story walk up. It wasn't a problem for us, but just know you'll be going up and down a lot of steep stairs whenever you come or go. Overall I would not hesitate to rent this flat or from this owner again. It's a delightful little place, clean and functional if not opulent. Go ahead and book this place with no hesitation!

Great Location, BUT and it’s a big but...

Location was amazing , right in the center of town, but the apartment was dirty ( mold in bathroom, dishes dirty , floors , ect... and ill equipped. Fold out bed was broken and the toilet seat was about to fall off. I told the contact person but nothing was done about it, I was told I could pay additional Euros and he would come clean and they wouldn’t fix the bed and toilet until I paid the tourist fee. I had paid the late check in fee, but VRBO told me not to pay any of it When I called them later. Also a sewer smell would permeate the apt several times a day and at night. When I paid for the apt, the receipt and disclosed cost said all fees and charges were included in the the total disclosed and I agreed with that amount, yet when I got there the manager insisted I had to pay more Euros additional in cash for a tourist fee per person. I explained to her that I had verified before I booked that the total amount shown was all the charges . I didn’t know I had to read Italian to see the additional charges, if I would have I a Would not have booked that property as it was no longer competitive with others I was considering. I called VRBO. And was told that the owner had the disclosure in the listing but it was in Italian. ( The only thing in Italian on the page/listing), So there was no way I could have known. It also contained a notice that there was a late check in fee that the owner never mentioned when I sent her my arrival information to verify the time wasn’t going to be a problem. Not until I was in the apt was it brought up along with the “tourist” fee. There was also pounding and dragging ( sounded like construction of some type), all during the evening up until 12 pm many times above us. I have rented many apts through VRBO, this however was the worst experience I’ve ever had. All in all, I would not recommend this even with the amazing location. It is also on a dead end alley and people would relieve themselves there at night and the stench was disgusting when you left the apt in the morning.
