This is the second time our group has enjoyed this lovely country setting in the heart of Orcas Island, the location is perfect for accessing many spots on the island. The two kitchens and outdoor space make it a perfect spot for relaxing and entertaining. The property manager Jessie is an excellent host and made sure we were comfortable and happy, Thank You!
We loved the property! it was beautiful, clean, quiet, and comfortable. We felt right at home and the house had everything we needed. I would move in if my wife would let me.
Nice property for a large group or multiple families. The upstairs/downstairs layout allowed our teenagers their own space but there was plenty of room to have everyone hang out in the common areas. Easy to find, check in was great and the property had everything you need for a weekend get away. Only a short ride from the ferry.
We had a mini family reunion while on Orcas & this property was perfect - big enough for everyone to stay in one place, a well-equipped kitchen (2 actually!) for preparing meals & some small sports equipment (like badminton racquets & birdies, balls, etc.) for outdoor activities. The beds were pretty comfortable & there was room for everyone to hang out. I would definitely stay here again if we're on Orcas with a large-ish group again.
It was the right accommodation for
our family to be together in one place laughing and enjoying one another’s company. It was also a lovely location for enjoying the pastoral quiet and nature of Orcas Island.

Overall, this is a great property, reasonably priced and a bit off the beaten path. We enjoyed our stay immensely.
The house was perfect for our family stay. We loved cooking together in the spacious kitchen and also used the bbq for family meals. The location was perfect for our day trips to explore the island. There are not many houses for a larger family group on the island so we would recommend this home for your stay. The property is well maintained we enjoyed eating on the patio and star gazing at night.
The property is great! A lot of space for several people to hang out and either be together or spend some time alone.
The location is easy to find, and nicely situated on the island to get to Eastsound or Moran State park.
We had a really wonderful time.
We rented this house for a weekend with six adults and a 3 year old, and we had plenty of room. The yard has lots of activities and amenities to keep a kid busy. House has two full kitchens, which was nice.
Great location for a group getaway. The setting is both beautiful and convenient, providing a quiet island escape with quick and easy access to all points of interest. The many bedrooms and two kitchens made accommodating a group of 9 a breeze. Couldn’t have been more satisfied with the experience from start to finish.
We had a lovely family reunion at this large house, with plenty of room to spread out and relax. The beds were comfortable and the whole house was very clean. Our host Jesse was very responsive and answered questions immediately. With 2 walk-in showers and the ability to enter the house from the ground level, those with slight mobility issues can be accommodated. Sports equipment included (croquet, badminton, volleyball, horseshoes) gives plenty of opportunity to play together and get those ya-yas out! Very quiet and private location. We enjoyed our stay!
The property was much as advertised. Plenty of room to play outside which is where we spent most of our time enjoying the lovely evenings. The kitchen was well appointed and overall it was pleasant place to stay. It was clean and well kept. When we arrived it was a bit musty downstairs, but we aired it out and it was fine. I would recommend the property to anyone with a large party looking to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Orcas.
Cedar Field house is a well cared for older home in a rural setting close to the main road to Eastsound. The location was wonderful because it is quiet and private but also it is close to town and many of the special places on Orcas Island like Moran State Park. The house accommodated our family of six adults, one baby, and three young kids very well. It’s actually two houses in one because both the upstairs and downstairs have kitchens, bedrooms, living/dining, and bathrooms. We all enjoyed staying there and wished we could have been on Orcas longer.
I sent a crew for a project on Orcas, they said everything was beautiful! Its a little remote but they were fine with that since it was near the jobsite. One item for future would be a stronger wifi connection (had issues keeping up with the tv apparently) but that may be the best the Island offers :)

Great location. Quiet and secluded with plenty of space. Reasonably clean
We enjoyed the house and it’s amenities. Orcas is a beautiful island with so much to do and see. This property is centrally located which makes getting to anywhere on the Island easy. There was plenty of parking and space. The property is large and nice to explore. Very quiet.
We had to buy more hand soap and the bedrooms and sofas a needed to be a bit more thoroughly cleaned of previous occupants clothing and debris.
Overall a good rental.

So roomy
We used this lovely property for extended family to attend our daughter's wedding. We loved the setting, the view, and the layout which has two kitchens and laundry on both floors. Their was plenty of parking. This mattered! Beds were comfortable. Good location.
It might have been a miscommunication between owner and housekeeping, but we only had 10 towels for 14 people. We paid quite a bit extra for the four extra people for three nights. We called owner to see if we could get four more towels. He said we just needed to wash a load. ??? We did not have time to spare. It put us in a predicament smack dab in the frenetic to do's of a wedding.
With water rationing and short turnaround time for housekeeping I never mind washing linen, but it would have been nice to have enough for everyone. Couples shared. It didn't wreck our lives or anything, just very inconvenient.
We were thankful enough for the place that we washed several loads of sheets and towels to to ease turnaround when we left. #passongoodnessanyways
I'd rent it again for large gatherings. It would be nice to have towels for every body.

Spacious, great views but not clean
Beautiful property with an older home that is unfortunately neglected. Let me preface this by saying I am not a clean freak and have rented older and modestly priced vacation rentals in the past. However the cleanliness of this home does not extend beyond the bedrooms or bathrooms.
The pros-
Clean bedrooms and bathrooms. Beautiful scenery and land to explore. Fenced garden full of butterflies. Fire pit with lots of firewood. Spacious house. Lots of cooking tools.
The cons-
The grill was caked (it took an hour to burn it off) with old food and grease and the grill brush had no bristles left on it. Freezer and dishwasher in lower level were moldy. Sugar ants had taken over the lower kitchen (built a nest in the power outlet) and were fairly prolific in the upper. Cobwebs with dead bugs in every corner of the lower level. Old, perishable food left in the lower fridge. Dirty plates and utensils found in cabinet in upper kitchen. Coffee maker in upper kitchen had old moldy coffee grounds in the basket.
Each of these items isolated is not so bad but the number of things we had to clean up just to make it useable was annoying, we were after all supposed to be on vacation.
I understand that affordable means you may only get one towel (which we did) and the games will be missing pieces (which they did) and maybe the decor is a bit worn and pieced together from yard sales and IKEA (which it seemed to be). All fine. But I still expect a certain level of cleanliness throughout regardless. Cedar Field failed to deliver. Bummer.
