The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
-Check out is 11AM. Please text (360.298.4443) if you plan on leaving earlier so we can arrange for housekeeping and maintenance. -Please start a load of towels in the wash.
-Place all trash and recycle in proper bins outside. Ok to leave food in refrigerator -Wash all dishes. Clean dishes left in dishwasher are ok -Return all items to location where you found them
-Leave note on bar with any maintenance items that need attention. I.e. Remote batteries need replaced, light bulb out in the bathroom, etc. -Lock the house and leave the key in the lock box. Thanks!

Amazing kid-friendly property on Orcas island

Our family of 6 had the best stay at this property. It was clean, spacious, and filled with things to keep our 4 children busy. It was the most kid-friendly rental we have stayed in. We looked up the tide schedule and planned our play on the private beach for low tide times—it looks much different at low vs high tide! The view from the house is incredible and we never got tired of looking out at the ocean. We would absolutely book this property again.

Great house in a wonderful location.

The house was beautiful, comfortable and well suited to our group of 8, including 2 preschoolers. They even had a high chair and porta crib for the littlest one. Kitchen had everything we needed. It was peaceful and relaxing. Would love to stay here again.

The facility was spacious and accommodating with several cool spaces for the kids to do their thing. Great views plus convenient location in the middle of all the Orcas activities. Was the perfect size for our group of 10 this holiday weekend. Definitely recommended.

The Eastsound residence was absolutely beautiful, offering stunning views that we thoroughly enjoyed throughout our stay. The attention to detail in the house was impressive, from the fresh flowers on the table to the binoculars thoughtfully provided for watching wildlife in the water. For many generations our families enjoyed coming to Orcas Island for vacations. In the early 90’s we decided to build a home and raise our family here. We had 5 homeschooled kids who loved having the beach as their classroom and doing their part in helping build our home. If you look closely you will notice some creative touches that they added to the house! We are now empty nesters and have moved on to a smaller home in the woodland area of Orcas. We are excited to share The Nest with other families. We love tourists because they see our island with fresh eyes and are awed by the beauty all around us. Hundreds of times I have heard people exclaim, "I don't know how you get any dishes washed here, I would just stand and stare out this kitchen window all day!"
Our daughter, Anika, moved back to the island in 2016 to raise her family and is thrilled to be managing her childhood home.
