The property is located right beside some very smelly sewers. Therefore unfortunately the outside of the property and the inside of you open any windows carries a stench of human waste. It’s quite frankly disgusting. When we checked in the cleaners were there and they commented that it’s always there. Really ruined the stay for us. The online picture also don’t reflect the condition of the property - it’s extremely run down, and in need of repair. We did try to contact owners about issue during stay but got met only with an AI response . I’d probably find somewhere else to stay guys. Very expensive for what we experienced.

Beautiful place in a lovely area. Not too far from Liverpool centre.The retreat had everything you would need for your stay. We had a fabulous time!Only downside was the smell of the beck down the side of the house and another bathroom wouldn't have gone amiss but we managed. Overall 4.5 stars

Lovely property, beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and furnished. Comfy beds and pillows. Has everything you would need in the kitchen. Peaceful but easily accessible location and good off road parking. The owners left a little gift for us on arrival which was gratefully received. 2 bathrooms, one is an ensuite, neither had locks on which could be problematic for some people. There is only one sofa so could do with some more comfy seating if you are a larger group. All in all it was a lovely place and we would stay again.

Buyer beware This is a wonderful property, well laid out, lots of natural light, comfortable. It should have been a 5 star. Unfortunately, 4 aspects tarnished things for us: 1) The kitchen cabinets seem to have been assembled by the owner’s drunk uncle: cabinets hanging off their hinges, baseboards not screwed in; 2) The toilet seat in the bathroom with shower was off its hinges, We alerted the property manager, who acknowledged the issue, but never acted. By the time we left, the toilet seat was affixed only by one hinge, providing quite an unstable sitting experience; 3) The shower drain was plugged. The only way to shower without flooding the bathroom was to use water for only a few seconds at a time. Great for ecology, not so much for showering. Even so the bathroom floor ended up covered in water, requiring us to soak water up with towels. 4) The last of action by the renter was the worse part. One would think they would run to the scene upon learning that the shower was flooded.
