Olive tree cottage is a delightful gite situated in a small hamlet amid the vines and orchards of St. Sernin. Part of an old farm, the cottage is stone built but has been tastefully converted to provide comfortable accommodation whilst retaining the original character. An open plan living space with a full kitchen and dining area opens onto the garden of the main house. The double bedroom with en-suite shower room leads onto a private terrace at the rear of the property with views over the rolling countryside. Facilities available to guests include the swimming pool, barbecue and pizza oven. The kitchen has a 4 ring electric oven, fridge freezer and coffee machine. The 26" television receives the main UK Channels plus Netflix. The owners, Murray and Tracey live on-site, along with Suki the dog and Stumpy the cat. The town of Duras is a 10 minute drive and has a modern supermarket as well as a range of independent shops plus a market on Mondays. There are a number of bars and restaurants in the town. A 20 minute drive will take you to St Foy le Grand where there is a much wider selection of shops and one of the best markets in France on a Saturday. Bordeaux, Bergerac, St Emilion and Monbazillac are all within easy reach. During the summer night markets in abundance, Duras, Levignac, Soumensac and Monteton to name just a few. These are colourful social occasions with food stalls, local wine makers and live music. Your hosts will be happy to advise.
