Caminha, an enchanting traditional Portuguese fortified town steeped in history, bears witness to historic battles between Portugal and Spain. Today, it enjoys friendly relations with its Spanish neighbor and maintains daily ferry connections between the two banks of the river. On a tiny island within the estuary, you will find the ruins of Ínsua Fort, constructed in the fifteenth century to safeguard the river's entrance.



Vila Praia de Âncora, a mere 10-minute drive from the villa, unfolds its sands from the fishing port to the Âncora River, where it meets the coast after a 15-kilometer journey through the Serra de Arga hills, a captivating natural environment for hiking enthusiasts. The beach, renowned for its impressive Atlantic waves, is a haven for surfers. Moreover, this town is celebrated for its array of seafood and fresh fish restaurants.



Accommodation at Villa Sandover offers comfort for up to 4 guests, comprising 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The villa is a single-story abode that features a fully equipped modern kitchen, a spacious living and dining area with doors leading to an expansive wooden deck terrace overlooking the swimming pool and offering distant ocean views. It includes a twin bedroom and a master double bedroom, both sharing a well-appointed shower room. The quality of the furnishings and decor is of the highest standard.



Outside, Villa Sandover boasts a generously sized mature garden, a sunbathing terrace, and a well-kept lawn. A dedicated barbecue area invites you to indulge in alfresco dining experiences.
