A charming, characterful cottage with exposed beams and stonework which dates back to the 1700s. The Cottage is ideally placed in a quiet location with miles of sandy beaches a short walk away.. Ground Floor:

Bathroom: Bath, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate on request. Enclosed rear garden with sitting-out area garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. . The front door opens into a large open plan kitchen/dining area and instantly the property shows its heritage with exposed wooden beams and stonework. The kitchen is well appointed with all the amenities you need to prepare anything from a simple sandwich to a three-course family meal. It’s a lovely social space to gather and talk about the days adventures as you relax and enjoy good food, drink and company. Next you move into the cosy living room where comfy chairs let you kick back and put your feet up in front of the log effect fire. Outside is a large, enclosed garden with seating. Upstairs there is a second bathroom with a bath and two bedrooms.
Silecroft is a small rural village on the western coast of the Lake District, with the convenience of having a railway station a couple of hundred yards from the cottage, giving you an alternate method of exploring the Lake Districts wonderful scenery and attractions without use of a car. For walkers there are hills and miles of scenic walking to be had, or if you want more enticing attractions such as the RSPB wildlife reserve at Hodbarrow or the expansive beaches at Haverigg and Silecroft. These beaches provide access to the Cumbrian Coastal Way, offering breathtaking views of the Irish Sea and the Isle of Man. After an exhilarating day, be sure to the visit Ski bar. Alternatively, for those who prefer terra-firma, the Cumbrian heavy horses are a captivating sight, offering an unforgettable experience for horse lovers of all skill levels, or there is even Horse riding available in the village at Murthwaite trekking centre. Sightseers can also explore the impressive Muncaster Castle, a historic fortress with stunning gardens and a Hawk and Owl centre - an ideal family outing. There’s much to discover right at your doorstep, and for those interested in further exploration, the lakeland villages of Coniston, Hawkshead, and Ambleside are easily accessible within an hour, providing additional opportunities to delve into the beauty of the Lakes.
