Stay was excellent! House was amazing. This was our third stay at the property, first time in the main house. Amazing, as always. We loved the kitchen. One of our favorite parts of the property is the ability to see wildlife from the house. This stay we saw a grizzly bear and large bull moose!

Beautiful property. Great communication and willingness to make our stay as positive as possible. Shared accommodations with 2 other rentals but not intrusive at all. Owners are very nice. Check-in/out was easy.

The Rosengren Family have the most wonderful home and we’re so thankful that they share it and we all get to experience the splendor of it. Let me start with the outside; the house is just as in the pictures, the backyard has lovely green grass with the hot tub and views of the surrounding mountains and the Soda Butte Creek flows gently by. The inside is spacious and beautifully constructed. We stayed at The Refuge and it was perfect for the 10 of us. We would definitely rent either of the other 2 lodging facilities if need be. It’s fully stocked with necessities and Cooke City/SilverGate are charming little towns and for us the gateway to Yellowstone’s Northeast Entrance. Lastly, the Rosengren’s are great communicators, quick to reply and making sure you have all the necessary information before arriving.

Talk about home away from home! Our family of ten immediately felt comfortable and relaxed. The location was beautiful and had everything we needed inside. The kitchen was so well-stocked, the beds so comfortable and the pros of the creek view with a well-placed hot tub was the cherry on top. We can’t wait for our next visit.

We absolutely loved the house!! Stunning grounds and amazing decor!! Everything you could possibly need or want was available for use, especially in the kitchen! I loved the details accounted for like the beach towels for the hot tub and the laundry baskets for carrying clothes. The owners communicated quickly and thoroughly to emails which was appreciated. We didn’t realize until after booking there are 2 other rentals attached to the house. It really wasn’t a problem but something that should be included in the listing. We loved the sauna, the hot tub and the convenience of the washing machines. There was a moldly smell in the hot tub as well as the washing machines but overall the house is immaculate! We wish we stayed longer!

Never mentioned in original post that we would be sharing the home with 2 other sets of guests in separate parts of the home. There were several repairs that need to be addressed in the home. The owners were very quick to respond and overall a good stay.

MTNLUX Refuge has immediate access to the other two vacation rentals on the 1-acre property... MTNLUX Guest House (1146630) and MTNLUX Loft (1146668), that are also listed on Airbnb. Larger groups may rent multiple units. Guests in all three rental properties have joint access to the sauna, hot tub and laundry room. These are all among the very finest vacation rental properties near Yellowstone National Park.

This property is amazing. Can't wait to come back again and bring friends/family. Hot tub, sauna, the creek in the back. Just beautiful. We cozied up by the fire and enjoyed a late June snow even. Was told by the neighbor we just missed a moose walking right up the creek. Small general store in town and a few restaurants and gift shops as well. Can't beat the location to the NE Yellowstone entrance and the Beartooth Pass. Very clean and a well stocked kitchen. Pool table and ping pong were an added bonus. No issues with other people staying on the property as well. Owners were wonderful with communication before and during our stay.

This is an absolutely wonderful property sitting on the headwaters of Sodabutte Creek at the most remote entrance of Yellowstone Park. It is a fisherman’s dream that wants to fish that area of the park and not deal with traffic. House is awesome with big timber construction. It is beautiful and new. The house and property are as clean as can be. We love the smallness and remoteness of Cooke City and this is the nicest rental around. I wanted to give it a bad review so I can rent it in the future, for I am certain it will book up faster and faster for in the future and I probably won’t be lucky enough to stay there again.

We loved our stay at your beautiful mountain home! It was the perfect home base for us as we explored the area. Comfy beds and lots to do with the ping pong, billiards, hot tub and sauna. We all had a great time and hope to be back!
