The villa has panoramic views out every window of the rolling Umbrian hills. We're surrounded by fields of sunflowers, olive trees and vineyards and can see as far away as Perugia and Orvieto. Our mature garden is bursting with lavender, roses, rosemary and a small olive orchard. The house is a traditional farmhouse with chestnut beams, cotto floor tiles, hand-made ceiling tiles, local travertine staircase and fireplace, and reclaimed roof tiles. The garden has wide patios shaded by Wisteria and Ivy over generous pergolas for comfortable outdoor living even in the hottest sunshine. Sunsets from the patio are nothing short of sensational. There is a large and shallow pool (15m by 4m, 1.2m deep) that is ideal for enjoying the Umbrian sun. The villa is furnished with some of our most cherished teak and hardwood beds, tables, wardrobes and display cabinets that were gathered during our many years living abroad. Our local village of San Terenziano is only a 10 minute walk along a small gravel lane (or 3 minutes by car). The village is large enough to have all of the necessities (cafes, newsagent, small markets, hairdressers, etc), but still small enough to be quite tranquil and has a historic and quaint central plaza. We are centrally located to take advantage of the attractions of Umbria, Tuscany and beyond; including within less than an hour: Todi, Montefalco, Assisi, Bevagna, Deruta, Orvieto, and Perugia.
