Lovely recently refurbished apartment, even better than the photos! Good communication, lots of information provided by owner prior to arrival. Fantastic location, wonderful views, enjoyed sitting on the balcony taking in the surroundings. Good base to visit Ffestiniog steam railway, Portmeirion, Caernarfon castle but many more!!!

Porthmadog.

My only request was to have been told about the extra cost of hiring linen and the time the booking was made - but maybe I missed that. Coming from the USA I’ve never experienced that before and obviously we didn’t bring linen with us. I am grateful the host reached out and asked us about it. Wonderful position, cute village. Do visit Portmerion and take the old steam train ride.

Great location once we found it!Even the building caretaker couldn’t find it!We knew it was no 58 but not 58 FMy son had to try a few different key boxes til he found the right apartment which looked very suspicious! Took about an hour in total to locate !The apartment wasn’t very clean, dust and hairs in bathroom.There was mess in the bottom of the fridge, a melted ice pop I think.The beds were not very comfortable, could feel the springs in mattress. My daughter in law suffered with back after first night.It’s a shame that these things have let it down as it’s a great little apartment!

We apologise to Beverly for the cleanliness issue, which we have addressed with our cleaning team - it appears there was an issue that day. Regarding finding the apartment: we provide all guests with coordinates, photos and directions, and we have found these to be effective. Furthermore, we know the estate caretaker well and he certainly does know where our wonderful apartment is :-)

Nice apartment, spoilt by terrible bedding and poor communication from owners.Apartment is newly decorated and clean, but lounge area very small, just ok for 2. Nice sunny balcony, no table for eating outside. Had to chase for check in details and then again for key code on arrival.Bedding was dreadful - smelt musty, tatty old mismatched duvet and pillow with stains and rip. Luckily we had our own with us as had stayed elsewhere beforehand. Owner said cleaner had put their bedding on in error, rather than guest bedding and cancelled bedding charge. However, the whole experience of having to remove everything and seeing the marked mattress cover made it all feel very 'unsavoury' and unclean. To top it all we then accidently left our expensive pillows behind and had to chase again for responses from the owners regarding retrieving them. Eventually they said they were lost.

If you have any concerns about this review, please speak with us. Hosting the guest was one of the most unpleasant experiences we had. Reading her review was simply upsetting. Unfortunately, the policies governing reviews doesn't facilitate its removal even when the content is, let's say, "questionable". We wondered at times what was going on - and it was hard to recognise reality when reading the review. So dissapointing.
