About this property
Ravenscourt, Whitstable
Ravenscourt
Whitstable
Ravenscourt is a beautiful holiday home full of charm and character, perfectly combining traditional and contemporary features. The owners have chosen high quality brands to create a comfortable and stylish environment. Companies such as Otto, Perrin & Rowe, Maitland & Poate and Fermoie all make an appearance. Feature wallpaper is used throughout, and there are some fabulous pieces of artwork including one commissioned from a local Whitstable artist. On the ground floor, the large sitting room has a wood burner for cosy winter evenings. The open plan kitchen /dining room is ideal for socialising with family and friends and opens out onto the garden which offers a large, enclosed space to enjoy the warmer weather. Upstairs on the first floor are three bedrooms and family bathroom, and on the second floor is the principal bedroom with ensuite shower room, and lovely far reaching views over the golf course. Ravenscourt is perfectly located between the seafront and the main shopping streets which have an abundance of friendly and lively cafes, restaurants, pubs, and independent boutique shops. Whitstable also has a thriving arts scene, and live music is a popular feature in many of the pubs. It also has the iconic fishing harbour, where you can watch the fishing boats come and go or book a trip out to the legendary Maunsell sea forts on the historic Greta, or maybe go seal watching in a vintage lifeboat. Oh and don’t forget to try some oysters which made Whitstable famous.

We had a wonderful stay at Ravenscourt. The house is beautifully decorated and very spacious (we were 8 adults and a baby). The location is great - just a few minutes stroll from the beach and the Old Neptune pub. And we very much appreciated how family friendly it was - with a high chair, cot, games etc. If we could change anything, it would be a few more pots and pans in the kitchen to make self catering a bit easier! We would love to come back sometime - this place will be our first choice whenever we are in Whitstable.
Beautiful house with everything considered to make stay comfortable . Great location to explore Whitstable and surrounding area would thoroughly recommend

Easter break at Ravenscroft
On the whole everything was perfect. Well stocked with the basics, comfortable and lovely decor. The only small negative is that certain places could have been slightly cleaner. The shelves in the fridge were mucky and a bag of leftover frozen peas had split in the freezer. The kitchen side by the toaster/coffee machine was also dirty. That being said, everywhere else was clean.
Our preference would have been to have had a runner on all stairs and the landing, as it could be a little slippy in socks

Beautiful home
Ravenscourt is a beautiful home in a central location in charming Whitstable.
We appreciated the high end decor, comfortable beds, great showers & well equipped kitchen.
As we had good weather, the garden with its lovely garden furniture was also very useful.

Fantastic stay in a beautiful home
We stayed for a long weekend in March at this beautiful home in Whitstable. Everything is gorgeous and so well thought out. It definitely feels like a home, rather than a house done up as a holiday rental. We loved the vibrant, fun decor, had plenty of room to relax and also WFH, and found everything to be very comfy, from beds to sofas to cooking in the light-filled kitchen. We would love to return!

A wonderful weekend away
Ravenscourt was BEAUTIFUL. My school friends and I (6x tired mums) visited for the weekend and absolutely adored the house - the interiors are incredible & the location is perfect convenient (you're two mins from the beach one way & the town the other). The living space has lots of different areas and zones, so we all had plenty of space to relax and the bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable. Thank you for having us!

Fantastic property
This is the second time we have stayed at this property and intend to do it yearly. Great location. Parking can be a problem but there are paid car parks around if you get stuck. Always clean and tidy, though this time the top floor was generally dusty my asthma wasn’t happy not sure if it’s in the furnishings. All in all though we love this place and when we go back it’s like home :-) we even did a big roast dinner for 7 on the Sunday

Wonderful weekend break in Whitstable
We enjoyed a lovely weekend at Ravenscourt - a thoughtfully and beautifully designed home that perfectly suited our four generation family get together.
We were lucky to get great weather so that we could fully enjoy both Whitstable and Ravenscourt - we loved the suntrap garden which was perfect to return to after relaxing days exploring the town and harbour.
My only suggestion to improve Ravenscourt would be ziplink beds for the twin rooms - this would give more flexible options, especially as the house is ideal to accommodate four couples as well as families.
Overall, a fantastic stay and we would definitely return

Amazing family home
We were a three generation family group of nine. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the stay in this very comfortable and extremely stylish house. Everything we needed was there, and Keepers Cottages always provide excellent communication and a friendly service. Ravenscourt is located in a central position close to the sea and the lovely shops and hospitality that Whitstable has to offer. Parking near the house can be tricky at busy times and although on street parking is free, spaces are in demand. Having said that, we had four cars between us and we all managed to park nearby. All in all, this is a great holiday home and we had an amazing time. Thanks again Keepers Cottages.

Absolutely Exceptional: A Perfect Christmas Stay
We had the most incredible Christmas stay at Ravenscourt. It was quite honestly the best house we’ve ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. The house itself is absolutely beautiful, impeccably thought through, and a real joy to be in. We’ve come home completely obsessed and full of interior inspiration. The location in Whitstable is perfect too: charming, atmospheric and ideal for winter walks by the sea. The house was a minutes walk up to the beach! The team were exceptional from start to finish, so friendly, attentive and effortless to deal with. They made everything feel easy and seamless, which meant we could truly relax and enjoy every moment. We couldn’t recommend Ravenscourt (or the team) more highly and cannot wait to return. We made family memories that will last a lifetime here, Christmas at Ravenscourt is something we’ll treasure forever. Thank you!!

a beautiful home away from home
Lots of details picked out with love for interior and quality.
Different seating areas on the ground floor. Lovely kitchen to cook in, to enjoy each others company, a window that opens up on a terrace and enclosed garden. Lots of practical things to keep the cottage in good shape.
The rooms have there own style and colors and have ad real English feel, as do the Slash windows.
Beautiful view from the top bedroom on the golf and evening light. Very nice on sweet on the top floor.
Towels and linen are of good quality, the fabrics used for the cushions are in different magazines that you can find lying around in the living room and they are all recent .
Location is great, to the left the sea, to the right the lovely town of Whitstable.
We were 7 peoples and had enough space in the house not to be on top of one another.
We enjoyed our stay very much.
Simply the most beautiful property we have staying in, in the UK.Every corner of the house has been stunningly designed, and a joy to spend time in. Awesome location too.
