The lake house is a rustic lodge type house that is perfect for fishermen and families who want to enjoy Lake Logan Martin. The House has a large screened in porch and pier. The house is located in Lisa's Cove near Stemley Bridge off of Highway 34. It is easy to find by both water and land. The Address is 160 Lisas Cove Talladega Al 35160. !!!!LINENS AND TOWELS NOT FURNISHED!!!!

The house has five bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen, fireplace, sunroom and large screened-in porch. The beds consist of two king, one queen, 1 full and one set of bunk beds with a full on the bottom and twin on top plus a trundle bed in the livingroom. Completely furnished with central air-conditioning, dishwasher, stove microwave, coffee pot, cookware, charcoal grill, television with cable, DVD player, and outside stereo. To keep cost down we ask guest to bring Linens and towels.

Pontoon boats are available to rent at Poorhouse Mariana. Do not use my neighbors boat ramp or ask them. We do not have a boat ramp. Poorhouse marina is 2 miles from house by road and water. Please keep off of grass after heavy rains with cars and trucks. Please do not park or drive between house and lake. Thank You

ADDITIONAL RENTAL INFORMATION:
4 night weekday minimum for the months of June and July, Week Minimum for Memorial Day Week and Labor Day Week. If you see that a week you are interested in is available two weeks before the week, please call and we may consider a three night minimum.

$300 Deposit will be returned within two weeks if property is not damaged.

Talladega Race Week -(Both Weeks are Open this Year) Must rent the entire week. There is a $1000 deposit on race weeks. If you see that the week is available two weeks or less than the race, please call and we may consider a reduced rate.

Low Key Perfect

The location of this stay was absolutely perfect. The river/lake is just beautiful. We wakeboarded, tubed and fished in our downtime. The screened patio was such a great space to hang out, play games, and visit. Cookouts, big breakfasts, and late-night fun filled our days as we were able to relax and spend time with family. There are plenty of nearby amenities should you need something from "town." If you're looking for fancy, this is not your place, but if you want a warm, family-friendly atmosphere in the perfect location -- this place is a hidden jewel. I hesitated to leave a good review, because I don't want it to be booked when we want to come back!!!

Our family had a spectacular time! Beautiful lake and so many outdoor spaces to enjoy.

We just had a great time! Our family filled all 5 bedrooms and every night we laughed around the table in the huge screened porch. The owner was SO easy to reach and he dealt with any concerns immediately. The lake itself was clean and lovely. I highly recommend staying here.

This is a camp. Only one full bath for 5 bedrooms. Great for smelly fisherman and kids. Not right for princesses.

Rustic Cabin Adventure

We decided to stay at this property because it would accommodate our large group. Upon arrival it was as described, a rustic cabin. It checked the boxes for our large group but the kitchen is rather small to try and cook for everyone. The screened in porch area is large and was a lifesaver since that is where we spent most of the time there. The dock is simple but functioned well for us hanging out in the lake. If you are trying to accommodate a large group this place will do that but has some quirks. The description of the house is spot on, dont forget to bring the linens as they are not provided. Ron was very tentative to any and all our communications during our stay. Overall it was a good stay!

Family fun

The property location is convenient and close to grocery stores for supplies and restaurants also. The screened in porch is an amazing feature!! Plenty of beds for even large families there were 7 of us and we slept comfortably. Lots of fish was caught from the pier at night after a day swimming and floating in the quiet slough. The host Ron Jones communicates promptly. My only suggestion would be in addition to your own linens carry your key cooking pots and pans……like everyone and everything else the ones provided have worn out over time. Quick trip to Walmart settled that issue and I have new cookware at home!! Win win for the team. Thank you Ron for a wonderful week on the lake. This was our second trip to the property and probably WILL NOT be our last!!

No Sheets/Towels, Not Clean, Terrible Kitchen

We didn't see on the listing that sheets and towels were not included; we showed up to a house with disgusting stained mattresses with no sheets. Very dirty upon arrival; floors, dishes, etc, were very lazily cleaned if at all. The layout of the house is very strange and not ideal. Shockingly small square footage for a 5 bedroom house. On the plus side, the screened in porch is very large and very nice for hanging out, very nice backyard and very nice view.

The Best Deal on Logan Martin Lake!

While considering forever weekend homes on Logan Martin, we have rented multiple places all over the lake to get a feel for which areas we might prefer. I had seen this property many times and was simply unexcited by the photos. I was also turned off by the minimum days you had to stay. What I found was quite the opposite. I realized that I actually prefer bringing my own sheets. The property is very well kept. I think the only thing unnatractive was a rusty exterior of a refrigerator. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and only found one Chinese beetle dying on the floor. By nighttime, the house was comfortably cool. I think some better tint on the huge windows would improve the home's temperature in the middle of the summer. The bathrooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable. The indoor/outdoor screened in disco room was a great touch. Plenty of room for hanging out with the family. My boat was easy to store with depths over 12 feet at the edge of the pier and I was able to back in and store without really needing to trim the motor up. The kids loved the over the water hammock. It's simply a great river house with some pretty amazing trophies inside. I think Mr. Jones had a really really great 1983 fishing for bass. I honestly think after renting many other places that were 2-3 times higher, some basic cosmetic improvements of the kitchen would fetch a much higher daily rate. We only stayed there half the rented days and I still spent half what I spent in 4 days at a much larger, but in no way better home a few miles away. Everything is just easy and simple. Don't let the faded roof picture turn you away. All the neighbors are very well kept as well and it is a great location for swimming. We will rent again for sure.

My wife and I have been married for 22 years. And we have two children Reynolds and Marie. We are Christians and have been very blessed. We love our lake House and rent it out to help with the expense of owning two homes. If you rent our lake house we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We chose Logan marting Lake because it has everything that we wanted in a vacation place close to our home. You are on the lake and away from the the city but when you need something you can be in town in 10 minutes. We also bought this property because it is easy to find and you do not have to have a GPS to find it.

What makes this property unique

The most unigue benifit to this property is the large porch and gental sloap walkway to the lake.
