Lovely double room just on the sea. Breakfast and dinner available! :)The spaceOur family owned property of 600 m2 is situated in a lovely and peaceful village Pomena on the island of Mljet. House is situated just 50 m from the sea and 300 m from the lakes.Double room, 12 sq m big, offers double bed, desk, bathroom with shower, private furnished balcony with garden view . Roomalso features TV, A/C, free WiFi, SAT TV and free parking. Mljet is the southernmost and easternmost of the larger Adriatic Islands of Dalmatia. It is the greenest Island with Mediterranean vegetation, a clear and clean sea, and a gentle sandy shoreline. National Park spreads on the western side of the Island (for over 54km2) and offers shady walking or cycling tracks, ancient ruins, and saltwater lakes. Entrances to NP Mljet is in Polače and Pomena.The main places are Pomena, Polače, and Sobra and in those places, you may find supermarkets, ATMs, restaurants, travel agencies, souvenir shops, etc...Island is regularly connected with Dubrovnik with a ferry from Dubrovnik or Korčula as well as a car ferry connection with Pelješac Peninsula on the Croatian mainland.Being located just over 15 minutes walk to Malo Jezero (Small Lake) of Mljet National Park, the village is the main entry point to the Park. Nowadays it has its hotel, a couple of restaurants and coffee bars, grocery and souvenir shops, agencies etc… As a bay, is a very safe place for anchorage, being sheltered by a tiny island of Pomestak, which acts as a local naturist beach too.Pomena is also a port where one will arrive if you take a day trip to Mljet by fast ferry from Korcula, Hvar, Split, Brac, or Dubrovnik.

Glorious residence!

We had a wonderfull time in Mjlet island and the national parc is a must see if your are visiting the south of the Croatia. With the ferry it's quite convenient to stay in Pomena and the flat is well located.

Admirable and clean accommodation!

Cosy room with a comfortable bed, perfect for solo travels or couples, with a cute balcony ocerlookinh a lemon tree and the forest of the national park. Friendly and service minded host family that even offered dinner with fish, catch of the day, and helped out with minor medical issues. Highly recommended and I’d be happy to be back! 🙏

This room was super close to the ferry port and right next to the entrance to the national park. You have everything you need for a few days in Pomena- private bathroom, balcony and a small fridge. The wifi is spotty but a minor issue. I would stay again!

We had a lovely time here! We were welcomed by a member of the familiy who explained us how to get to the national park and what to see there. He even gave us a bowl of mandarines from the garden as a welcoming gift. So personal and cute <3 The room was super clean and the guesthouse had a very calm and private vibe.

Glorious residence!

Staying here was OK. The price point and ratings were attractive. But the room was cramped and in serious need of updating. The wooden bedhead/surround is particularly annoying in eating up limited space and making the room awkward. The bathroom is very old school with a handheld nozzle/curtain which means water everywhere. The bed was good and the A/C functioned well. The WiFi is appalling. I complained via message and someone turned on the range extender - it went from appalling to awful. The standard cable package doesn’t exist. TV was antenna only and pixelated and choppy most of the time. The grounds were a mess - maybe not ready for summer peak. The terraces mentioned would be fine if cleaned and the furniture moved into a usable position. Overall it was adequate.

Très bon séjour au sein de la pension Matana, bien situé à Pomena avec une terrasse avec vue sur la mer. On peut en plus réserver le petit déjeuner et le dîner avec la pêche du jour et les aliments de la ferme, très bon !
