About this property
Beautiful Fall Lake getaway! Thanksgiving & Campbell Folk Art Fest wknds open!
Welcoming and spacious Craftsman style Lake Nantahala home in a gated neighborhood. Beautifully furnished and outfitted for your stay! 3 Bedrooms 2.5 Bathrooms sleeps 8 in beds with extra space for little ones. Enjoy your private, deep-water Brazilian hardwood dock with 6 kayaks, a canoe and other water toys at your disposal. Rental of a pristine Pontoon Boat also available separately. The lake is a hidden gem with stunning views sitting at 3000' elevation in Western North Carolina and encircled by beautiful mountains at elevations from 4,000 to 6,000 feet high. It is fed by pure clear mountain spring water from dozens of waterfalls surrounding the lake.
The water is incredibly clear and in some places provides over 20' of visibility. Due to the elevation, the temperature at the lake is consistently 12 degrees cooler than nearby cities like Chattanooga, Knoxville, Asheville and Atlanta.
This cozy home comes equipped with all the amenities for a comfortable stay along with all new handmade rustic mountain furniture. The granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, and granite counter tops and stone tile in the bathrooms complement the rustic but sophisticated elegance of the home's interior. The pristine water and breathtaking views make the long flight of private steps worth walking down to over 300 ft of private lake frontage. The 26' x 20' floating dock is one of the largest floating docks on the lake. The comfortable lounge chairs and Adirondack chairs make the dock an incredible space for entertaining as well as a platform for full enjoyment of all the activities the lake has to offer.
Enjoy views of the pristine island a short swim or kayak ride away and the Great Smoky Mountains in the distance. Soak up the sun on the dock or hop into the water on floats or tubes and listen to the soothing sounds of the waterfall at the end of the cove. Hop in the canoe or one of 6 kayaks and get great exercise while exploring one of the most undiscovered, pristine and beautiful lakes in America. Rent a ski boat from the local Lake's End Marina (where you can also enjoy delicious lunches and dinners) and spend some time water skiing, tubing or wake boarding.
This house is a nature lover's paradise. Surrounded by thousands of acres of protected National Forest, crystal clear streams and waterfalls which are as abundant as the wildlife which includes bald eagles, elk, rabbits, beaver and deer.
The fully equipped kitchen has all new modern appliances including a gas stove. Two bedrooms contain large king size beds and the third bedroom contains two queen beds. All beds have comfortable new mattresses with high count cotton sheets and extra pillows.
