The Space:
Dodds Lane has a bright and welcoming open plan living and dining area. With laminate flooring and light grey walls, the space is polished and stylish. When you want to relax, you can cosy up on the velvet sofa and get lost in a book or enjoy a home cooked meal in the dining area.
The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances and cookware so you can make the most of your self-catering stay.
Head to the bedroom and you’ll find a welcoming space. With neutral tones, unique features and a large wooden wardrobe, every care has been taken to create a tranquil and well-designed room. The comfy double bed has premium bed linens and soft furnishings to ensure you have a great night’s sleep.
You can enjoy a long soak in the bathtub during your stay at Dodds Lane. If you prefer a shower, there is also an overhead shower for your convenience. A WC and basin complete the bathroom.

Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Dodds Lane are accessed via a key safe box and full details will be provided prior to check in.
Private on-site parking is available for one vehicle.
One well-behaved dog is welcome to stay at Dodds Lane per reservation.
The Neighborhood:
With cobbled streets lined with independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, the market town of Alnwick has charisma and personality in abundance. If you’re a keen reader, head to the old railway station and you’ll find one of the UK’s largest second-hand bookshops. As night falls, venture to one of the lively inns to enjoy live music.
Alnwick also has some of the country’s top attractions including Alnwick Castle, which was the location for the famous Harry Potter film franchise. Discover a realm of adventure by taking on the Dragon Quest or complete broomstick training in the very spot where Harry Potter had his first flying lesson. Head to the Artisan Courtyard to have fun dressing up in medieval costumes and get a feel for 14th century life. You can also explore The Alnwick Garden where you’ll find 12 acres of magnificent gardens and the world’s largest treehouse restaurant.
Getting Around:
The closest train station is Alnmouth, which is just a short drive from Alnwick so local towns in Northumberland can easily be reached via rail, including locations further afield including Edinburgh, Newcastle and London.
There are a number of bus stops throughout Alnwick and main bus station is just a short walk away from Dodds Lane. Hop on the X20 which takes you through to Newcastle with stops in beautiful areas of Northumberland like Alnmouth and Amble. The X18 route travels between Newcastle and Berwick-upon-Tweed with stops in Morpeth, Amble and Seahouses.
The nearest airport is Newcastle International, 34 miles away from Alnwick.
