About this property
The Annexe, Llandysul
The Annexe is nestled in the rolling Teifi Valley within the rural village of Penrhiwllan, Ceredigion. A short drive from the market towns of Newcastle Emlyn and Llandysul and not far from the beautiful Cardigan Bay coastline.
Penrhiwllan is home to a village shop and the famous Daffodil Inn pub and restaurant, a mere 2-minute walk away - the nearest neighbour! This is a must-try for a gastro delight. The town of Llandysul is close by with its eclectic shops and cafes, pubs and restaurants and a canoeing centre with watersports.
The Annexe is ideal for walkers and cyclists as there are many cycling routes and country walks to enjoy from the door. A 5 minute drive to Henllan there is a wonderful dog walking spot that gives you lovely scenic views of the waterfalls. The Annexe is set in over 5 acres of grounds, including woodland and bordered by a small stream. There is access to the bridle track in 2 places. Several bird feeding stations attract much wildlife, so you can sit and watch this peaceful vista.
There are many sandy beaches a short drive away, including the harbour town of New Quay, where you can sit and watch the famous bottlenose dolphins that live in Cardigan Bay or take a boat trip to explore. Take a trip to Aberporth with its family-friendly sandy beaches and beachside fish and chip shop, or go crabbing in the harbour at Aberaeron. There is plenty to explore from this convenient base.
