Location is great! Apartment is very quaint. Only improvements could be cleaner carpets outside the apartment. We really had all we needed!! Love London, planning our next trip..
Great flat in South Kensington-Chelsea for Tube, museums
wife and I visited London for a five day stay to celebrate our anniversary. Just needed something cozy and casual but near some nice things. Shops, restaurants and the tube station within two blocks. VNA museum, Hyde Park and Royal Albert Hall, all within a 15 minute walk. Nothing fancy, but we had everything we needed. And that’s what we were looking for along with an affordable price.
The apartment worked for us in terms of location and comfortable sleep. However, the elevator was non-operational the entire week's stay with no notice from the property manager. The bathroom had significant mold on the wall near shower door and the shower door was not in its track. The kitchen spice cabinet didn't close all the way, and the glass on the wall behind the hob was cracked. The apartment building is well worn and we saw new mice traps placed in the hallway during our stay. I've stayed in a lot of vacation apartments and this one could use a refresh. One positive - we had an initial issue with the internet speed but the management company responded to my message very quickly and we were able to get it fixed right away. I did not let management know of the other issues during our stay as they didn't impact us very much.
